I have been noticing that when ever I turn the steering wheel hard to the left the oil pressure drops to around 25 psi.
Is this normal. Checked the oil level the next day ( cold engine ) and it was good. Thanks Shawn

I would check the power steering fluid. Make sure the level is correct. The answer to the questions Final GTS asked would help to diagnose the problem.

Has it just started and has it gotten worse over time? If so I would have the pan dropped and the oil pick up checked, could be coming loose or have another problem.

The car is moving 50 to 60 mph. The engine is at a steady rpm. Turn the wheel right oil pressure around 70 psi turn the wheel left psi drops to around 25 psi.

Droped the pan today and the pickup looks great. Oh well needed to change the oil any way. Next will be oil pressure sending unit and power steering fluid.

-I would be looking REAL hard at that pickup and pickup O-Ring for a leak. It sounds like the leak is coming uncovered during cornering, and the air being sucked in is affecting oil pressure. While the non-swing arm oil pans ARE affected by left hand sweepers in any event, you should be driving the car HARD for that to happen, not normal light street movements by any means. This would indicate something further up the pickup is at fault- my guess is the seam at the pickup head to pipe, or the perhaps at the pump inlet, but that would be due to the oil slosh changing, not the oil level changing.

-Power Steering Fluid would have ZERO effect on the issue at hand. Hell, if the pump fell off it wouldn't affect your oil pressure gauge.

-Sending unit is unlikely, wiring is much more likely. Something is physically moving or being moved and causing this issue. Sending units which are defective will display incorrect information consistently 99% of them time.
