As many know, I have been working on rebuilding a 2005 SRT and putting on Jeff Lemke's Street Serpent body kit. We are getting very, very close and there is finally light at the end of the tunnel.

I plan to paint a dark kandy red using house of kolors paint. Of course there's no sun out today as there is a huge difference when the metallic paint is in direct sunlight, but here is a pic taken indoors without flash.

The panel on the left uses a nova orange metallic as the base, in the middle is the standard Viper red, and on the right is silver metallic base. Both panels have 5 coats of kandy apple red over the base.

Well i like the paint on the right seems I guess due to the one on the left is dark and reminds me of the 08's new color but both are cool!!

The one on the right reminds me too much of a lipstick color. I vote for the one on the left. I am sure it will pop in the light.

You will need to get 'em out in the sun. All kandies will appear darker than they really are. Nature of the beast. On your compound curves of the car the color will pop and the flat panels it will look darker. Glad to see you are making some progress.

I would need more pictures to be able to make up my choice. Can I make a vote for Copperhead Orange though?

+1 on the far right color panel. I like how it seems to have more of a candy red to it.

I need SUN! 3 straight days without one drop of sunshine. As noted, there is a HUGE difference with paint colors, especially with Kandies in the sun. I am shooting for a Dark Red, that does not look maroon. In looking at the '08 Viper Venom red in a number of pics - it looks maroon. My concern with the panel on the right is that it will look a little too light in direct sun.

I'm sure it will look awesome with either color as they are very, very close. I am just psyched that we are almost done.

From a one week Viper owner-
As my first post I thought I would weigh in on this paint because I have painted a couple cars with the silver base under candy red.. I think it has a gaudy look in the sunlight.
I have also done gold base under candy red(house of color)The color on the left would be similar and look much more elegant in sunlight
IMHO
Either would look great but the one on the right will be really bright in sunlight. Its just a matter of personal taste.:)

I'll go with the one on the right, definitely wait until you get some sun to make your selection, take it from someone that has been down that road.
