With all the smack going on about Dyno Queens I think it is time to settle the score! Let's take the cars to the track! There is a race that Paul is puttting on in Ohio or someone organize soemthing and let's Duke it out on the Track! ANd Crown the fastest Supercharged Car and Their TUner! How Bout it. We can arrange for a dyno to be present ot award the Top HP winner as well.

Who's in?

My car has only lost one Drag Race and that was to a respectable Tom Welch on Nitrous. My car has ran 10.2 at 142MPH with a 1.67 short time. That leaves me and Gary as the fastest cars to date. So Let's Race all of us.

I would also like for the owners to drive their own cars. To elimate Driver advantages.

Who's In????????????

Do it in California, and I'm game! Ohio is just too far for me to trek :(

Alternate proposal -- take your SC (only) Viper to the dragstrip, drive it yourself, and videotape your runs. Post the videos & the timeslip. First person to get themselves kicked off for running a 9-sec 1/4 wins a trophy I will personally provide. No more dyno sheets!

(and the videos are always fun to watch anyway after the fact)

great idea - I like Ben's idea too for those that can't travel that far!

Seems like only DLM cars are fronting up, and one Roe - where's the rest?

I'll tell you something that would impress me though about a tuners setup - if Paolo's engine handles the Silverstate Classic 90 in Nevada - 90 miles of flat out driving on a blown 1000+hp motor - that'll settle any question in anyone's mind forever about the Heffner cars right to rank right up there.....

I'm completely unbiased here as I see merit in all of the popular options.

Truth is a boosted car from any tuner that runs for several thousand miles of basically trouble free running is a huge achievement at that power level - but it doesn't have the sensationalism of a 90 mile sprint.

I think any tuner (including Heffner) would be very nervous about one of their boosted engines running an event like the Silversate.... it's a big ask at that power level.

The next few months will be interesting as all the tuners' top cars get to strut their stuff on different tracks and events. At the drags - a SC car is definitely going to run 9's by mid-summer.... then probably another, then another! There's several of you with cars that can do it.

Good luck and be safe to all!

I will be there .....I am looking forward to see some action with you Dr.Roof. I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO RUNNING YOU AFTER V-10 NATIONALS, BUT it was unfortunate we could not get our run against each other , I was ready! But maybe @ Ohio.

P. S. It is a LONG trip from central Florida.....DYNOS are 1 thing , Time slips are REALITY of what a car can do in the REAL world!!!! DLM are game ....ROE are game. SO...

Well said, It seems like on race day alot of the dyno queens stay home?

I want to show how powerful my car is outside the dyno room. So I wil attend any event and will drive my car myself and if I loose i will return to the next event and try even harder.

DR. Roof ...you put on a OUTSTANDING event at V-10 NATS.

Smack talk is just that..... TALK

You back up your dyno in the REAL WORLD..... THE DRAG STRIP

And YOU don't need anyone to talk for you or DRIVE for you...YOUR NUMBERS speak for them self at a NATIONAL EVENT for all to see .

OHIO IS THE NEXT NATIONAL EVENT

Hopefully FLORIDA can get organized after OHIO. Winter is OUR GOOD drag racing weather.... and a good excuse for a lot of folks to get out of bad weather! Then Texas???

And if Ohio isn't enough, the SE Zone Rendevous is on Sept 26-28th. Drag racing will be the 26th in the evening, so perhaps we'll want to have a little bitty event there as well (though the Atlanta Dragway is not my favorite 1/4 mile track).

Torquemonster, we have done our homework and will be doing the next Silverstate I think sometime in September.

When is this event? Is it at Norwalk, Oh? I will go as long as it does not conflict with the possible SCC ultimate street car challenge or Silverstate.

Excellent Paolo! This will be an exciting event! Hope some of the others join you for some friendly fun :D

Did any of you guys read the recent post about an almost stock Viper (Air intake and exhaust mods) who got a 1.375 sec 60 footer on sticky rubber!!

there's a lesson in there somewhere that if that took around 500rwtq..... more off the line will only go up in smoke... sc guys will have to feather feather :) and that will take a lot of skill to pull off without slowing up - the 60 foot is everything! well apart from not missing a shift ....

Torquemonster, 1.375 is pretty unbelievable! I think that every supercharged car with 800 RWHP or better would run a 9 with a 60 footer like that!

My previous best 60 footer is a low 2 second. Like I have said, the 1/4 is not my thing!

TM,

Not to bust your chops but there is NO question about the Heffner cars' right to rank right up there already. I don't want this to get into another ******* contest, but my car was the FIRST S/C car in the 10's and currently has the fastest 1/4 mile time (10.20) for a non-nitrous blown Viper. My car has over 250 dyno pulls since it was supercharged and more than 6000 miles in the past six months or so. (Edit: My car has also made about 50 1/4-mile passes through the evolutionary process). I would consider this a bullet-proof car that is among the fastest and highest HP cars out there--bar none!

I plan to attend Paul's event in Ohio (we had already indicated a couple of weeks ago that I would be bringing my car along with other S/C Vipers). Unfortunately I missed Dr. Roof's event last month, but plan to be there for the next one.

Dr Roof,

Now your talking, the dyno should be used to tune your cars to make them better on the track, not to try and prove how fast they are. Your event was great, but your right there were only a hand full of supercharged cars, where were all the dyno queens? Not many nitrous cars either. My car is far from the fastest supercharged car, but it is consistent and it will be faster in the future. I will try to make Ohio with my Florida gang. Next week I am going to check into the Gainesville raceway for a winter event for us. If we rent the track tech should not be a problem and Gainesville is probably one of the finest tracks in the country, it is a good place to go in the winter as well. I grew up there so I should be able to hook us up with the right accommodations, and since Mickey is only 1.5 hours away I could also check into something for those that want to bring their families. I'll keep you posted.

Great Idea, I just enjoy racing. It is fun racing on this board with our dyno sheets but it becomes realistic on the track.

With your 60ft times I need to let you drive my car.

Looking forward to racing with you guys soon.

Florida would be great.
