I called a local dealer today to see if they had any'02 GTS's left over. The lady told me that they had 1 Graphite Grey (ACR) w/Silver stripes w/250 miles left. I asked her how much and she said, "$93,500"!! I asked her if she was joking. lol... She said no and that she would give me a "good deal" if I bought it. She said she would call me back with a "good deal" price. So she called me back and told me that she had talked to the owner of the dealership and he would sell it to me for $90,000. I tolder her HELL NO!! I procceded to tell her that I was looking on E-bay as I was talking to her (and I was)and that there was a brand new FE GTS with 15 miles on it for a buy it now price of $79,000. So, to make a long story short, I told her that I wouldnt be purchasing a Viper from them and hung up. Is it just me or is that WAY to much to ask for that GTS?

That's probably sticker on the ACR. The [******] things are expensive! The salesperson was just trying to hit a homerun. Can you blame her? Most people like to negotiate, believe it or not! You can always go down, but you can never go up! Do yourself a favor and look for a car on Ebay. Seems to be the best place to find desperate dealers. My recommendation is to buy preowned. I'm in the business, so I know how it works. I will probably never buy a new car. Initial depreciation is a beating!

I won't buy a new one (depreciation), but I STRONGLY support those who do! Otherwise, we wouldn't have Vipers.

So, here's to those who buy new Vipers - hip hip hooray!

You folks are why we have these cars. Thanks.
