I'd don't see the issue with stopping "dangerous" behavior. I.E. Drunk driving, passing motorist at 140MPH, etc..
The big problem is the ability of a police officer to ticket you for "street" racing, just because you take a quick start from a light, or enter a freeway a little fast - it's his "objective" view, nothing more. Where are the "rules" stipulating how to determine a "street" race?
Those that claim they don't 90+MPH in a Viper on the street is full of s$%^. Heck 100+ MPH is nothing if you pass on the freeway - not racing or anything.
Going between Texas and Kansas I hit 100+ MPH in my truck just following traffic through OK.
The PROBLEM is that just because I am in a Viper and just because I am speeding this equal "street racing???"
It doesn't - but tell that to the police officer that has just been told to crack down on street racing and given a whole new bag of goodies to dole out.
