Texas no front plate crackdown????

I don't understand? If your state doesn't require a front plate (AR doesn't) and I drive to Texas how can they give me a ticket?

Yeah, I wonder about that, especially when NC for instance does not even issue a front plate. As for window tint, that *could* vary perhaps, sort of like how lift height does in various areas for trucks with lift kits or maybe how different areas have different laws on lights on cars (color restrictions, etc.), but in the end, if a vehicle is legal in its originating area, I'd think it hard to get a ticket...

I had this out with NYC cops - if your orginal state doesn't require plates then nieghboring states cannot enforce it on thier own turf. If they do then you have grounds for a civil lawsuit - how can you reasonably be expected to follow every state law in the country - even factory car have that problem (remember RTs are illegal in Conn because the DMV bans sidepipes on road vehicles.)

If you've been busted on this then get a good lawyer.
