I agree 100%. Not only is Nick obviously a great tuner, but a hell of a nice guy. I know one thing for sure, Nick will get all of my work for as long as he's willing to do it.

Hey Nick what site were you posting those pics and video clips on? E-mail me the answer if you would prefer. Thanks.

I would like to add a little to your post 1bad gts!!!! I know the car you are talking about and that is about the third or fourth time that car has been to the track. The car makes great power and can run in the 10's on motor given proper time. I know the tuner that did the work on that car and I have a GEN 1 RT/10 with the same mods from them and I will take that race heads up any day against Don Nase. I have been to an event with them and remember when they didnt know as much as tire pressure about drag racing much less anything else about tunning a viper. When comparing dollar for dollar lets just see how much Don Nase has spent on his car with 3 motors, I am sure he has way passed 30K in all this, tearing them all completely apart on several occasions, blowing them up at times and so on. I think everyone on this board knows me and my car so just see if they want to take that HEADS UP RACE, first one to the end of the track wins, on any given day. We have a big race down here on July 1 or maybe even FL on July 7 could be possible. (Not for sure how that fits my schedule though) My hats off to Nick and Modern Performance for what they have done to Nases car but lets tell the complete truth when speaking about money spent and what was all done to the car. That is a BIG compression motor with rods, pistons, etc... Just not a stroker. The car you are talking about is just a topend job and that is it.... Just thought I would share this with you!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Mark H.

I was at the track with Jim and my hats off to Nick for making Don and Joe's cars run strong on motor. However, the best way to impress is to let the numbers speak for themselves not bash the competition. Talk trash about nitrous and strokers and expect to get bashed for HIGH compression built non-strokers that would grenade if given a shot of gas or run on pump gas. Joe's car is impressive but with the 60ft times I saw would likely improve very little on ET with slicks and the mph would suffer. Don's self-proclaimed "track car" is too loud and nasty to ever be confused for a street car. I've seen TNT cars run high 10's at 128+ on motor with only a top end job and 10:1 compression. Combined with high 9's on a conservative wet nitrous system, a ~20k well rounded streetable package that can deliver those numbers is impressive in this market unless Nick charges mustang prices. You guys ran well at E-town, just be careful claiming motor dominance after outrunning just 2 other cars with slicks. Without serious competition, its not hard to proclaim dominance and bash those tuners whose stickers do not decorate your trailer.

I'll give you credit Joe. Your car with your driver on street tires is a good match for all but the toughest non-stroker all-motor cars out there. Mark's car is less agressive with a "standard" package sorted out and run to it's potential. Drop a bottle in that GTS and call it a race. Most would agree that any tuner can produce a car that makes "less power" than many would expect for the money. While some cars (and especially DRIVERS) may yield disappointing numbers at the track, that does not necessarily mean the package was a huge rip-off. Nick builds very aggressive vipers, moreso than some owners may want. Dan B. is a nice guy and his car should have potential but I think you would agree he has had a pretty tough road in search of the power he is looking for. Blower-Unblower-Stroker-Heads-Nitrous-UnNitrous. I would personally expect >560rw with the combination he has put together. Bottom line - If Nick can deliver a "no-compromise" high 10sec motor car at prices 35% less than the other tuners.. He'll do well. Even the fastest cars can be driven slowly. Alot of tuners build stout motor cars but after you deliver what the customer wants you may compromise the dyno numbers.

Don Nase Sr. and Jr.:

I am not bashing you guys at all. I was just posting facts to Joe. He was the one proclaiming all the information and feeling the need to bash tuners. I have given yall credit about coming a long way with the car and getting the times that you have. I just thought the statement about the dollar was not called for. Hell, for all yall know I may have gotten my deal for nothing. Noboday knows what sort of deals that can be worked out. Hope everything is going great in NY and maybe we can get together for one big bash and go from there. We have a big event in Texas on July 1st and that is the most important thing at this time. I would love to make the FL event and line them up so hurry up and slap that gas on the car, bring pump gas, because that is what I run on and may need to bum a few gallons and lets see if we can make this happen. Would it be possible for you to bring Scott with you since he is in NY now??? Keep up the good work and we will see you guys down the road hopefully....

I am trying to get him to fly down for the July 1st event. More than likely we will work something out. Would love to make the event in FL but that would sure be a lot of traveling. You never know what may happen. Great hearing from you guys and we will let you know what goes on.
