We did the road rally and auto cross. One group went to the motor sports ranch and the other to the autocross which was bad asp. At the ranch we went for one hell of a van ride with the tires squeeling at every turn to show us the coarse. Thanks to the guys at Motor Sports Ranch for putting on one hell of a outing for us. Then it was off to the auto cross where Rich Carlson and his group were there to assist us and answer any questions. We did 2 runs in our cars and 4 runs in the factory cars. Then it was off to Texas Motor Speedway for the panoramic pic of the group. Once this was completed it was back to the motel and then to the banquet where we met with everyone that had anything to do with setting up the event. Tony Estes, Jay Herbert, Fionna, Kim, the editor of the magazine, Kingman, and more. Looks like we will be seeing this event in Viper magazine according to Tony Estes. Kingman was all over and everywhere you looked as he was working his butt off to make things run smooth. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone there who took the time to make this event work. I believe this event will make the history books.

Keeping with the theory that rough photos are better than none, here is a link to the first batch I've posted. My thanks also go out to all the folks that worked so hard to get this done, especially King! (I hope he read this and sees these pictures next week when he wakes up from his well-deserved nap!)

I also enjoyed seeing my racing school friends Jeff and Prashant and Jason, as well as an old friend from West Texas, John N. The best part was meeting new friends like Jay Lopez and Mary, Danny Baum, Tom Atherton and Marshall Sligar, and meeting some of the "old timers" and keys to this clubs success like Prez Tony (who worked the A group autocross all day) Butch Kirby, Jay Herbert and Kieth Verges.

Bottom Line: I had my 14-year old son with me and we had a awesome time that he will never forget, and I was so proud and grateful for all the club members that made him feel welcome and special and went out of their way to do so (Gary, King).

WOW!!!! Ferguson said Tony was quieter than him, but still a working fool. Great to have our President at Viper Days one weekend and down south in Tejas not too soon after that. Tony you are a Tiger, and thanks for having a strong presence so earlier in your term. Steve told alot of us that you would be a great President and we all know Stevie was never wrong! Just kidding, Mr. F, you know we luv ya.

Glad you all seem to have enjoyed a good time. I hope you will read my reply post to the thread started by Tony Estes.

And, please do not forget that it would not have been such a great event, if all of you had not arrived so READY to have a good time.

We're in the process right now of gathering as many good pics of the weekend as possible, and will post them on our NorthTexasViperClub.com website ASAP. I took one myself, of Groups A and B lined up on either side of the TMS feeder road, that looks every bit as spectacular as any Invitional photo. The lines of Vipers seems to stretch as far as the eye (and camera) can see! Too cool!

As I said in my other post, if you're in another zone, don't miss YOUR chance to participate in one of these. Get your registration in EARLY, or probably be left out in the cold. We put a limit on them of 100 Vipers..... and that means handling only 500 cars nationally. Someone has to be left out. Don't let it be YOU!
