Last week, I saw an ad on Ebay for a 2002 GTS located in Dothan, Alabama. There was no reserve and the bidding was low, even for a snake with 28K miles.
Dothan is located approximately 300 miles from me, so I called Michael Sherzberg (96 R/T 10) and asked if he'd take a look for me. He then contacted
Chad (GCHDEALER) and they both took their time to inspect the car.

Based on what they reported, I had my local dealer run a Carfax. The report was not pretty: auctions in 3 different states and titled as a rental/lease vehicle. The seller had failed to indicate this to me. He represented that the car had one owner and that, by implication, it was him.........

If it weren't for these 2 fellow Viper owners, giving of their time and expertise, I could have made a costly mistake.

This is my humble attempt to thank them. I'm sure this type of loyality and cohesiveness is typical of most VCA members, but this is the first time I've experienced it personally.

They both probobly did it for a bag of chips! Knowing them...they are very please and happy.! LOL! I bet they are fighting over who gets to lick the inside of the bag.

Well it's good to hear car fax did it's job. Most the time car fax is useless!

No, they were probably downing a case of Milwaukee's Best Light. But these guys know Vipers so I am sure even in an intoxicated state they were able to keep you from getting into a bush of thorns.

You are welcome Don. The car actually belongs to a guy I know who is a dealer in AL. We cruised the beach just tonight together. For someone wanting a perfect car this is not the car for them. On the other hand for someone wanting to get into a GTS really cheap a perfect car for that person. I could take this car spend $500.00 to make it perfect and turn a fair profit on it. Although you can never get rid of the carfax that says "RENTAL" To sell this car you would have to sell it to someone that is not a "Viper Guy or Girl"
