The Car Show

Anyone catch the premier episode of the Car Show on Speed. Next week they are going to teach a female how to drive a stick in a GENIV ACR. I am pretty sure females know how to handle themselves in a Viper. The show was fairly entertaining.

I was only able to watch the first 10 minutes of the show (through the 0-60 segment) but have the rest on the DVR... My first impression is that the show definitely has potential. It seems that this cast (at least what I saw) interact much better with each other than the likes of the American top gear cast.

I the opening segment of the show, I noticed a GT-R lining up against a Viper in a drag race scenario..Maybe I am wrong.

Yup, I'm with you. I know they don't want to be another Top Gear, but something is missing. I'm a huge Adam Corolla fan and actually got to watch a segment of the show being filmed while at Bondurant. Adam was not there, but in talking to John, Matt and Dan, they are all super down to earth guys and I hope the show takes off for them.

Maybe next weeks episode will be better (it does have an ACR in it )

Looks like another re-hash of Top Gear. Hope it gets better.

To me, Corolla's voice is the equivalent of hammering rusty railroad spikes through my *******.
His humor is somewhere between 8th and 9th grade; definitely not sophomoric.

The other guys are....meh. The stock broker is a bit too upity (even by British standards).
The Affliction guy is cliche', even for a [N ALLEGELY] ******** show about cars.

I'm DVR'ing the Viper episode, but then I'm done with it.

Honestly I thought the "American" Top Gear was better then this, and we all know how "good " that show is.

John Salley was picked for a goverment quota. They should have used your pants Kevan, same color and more style
