While in Manhattan yesterday (cell phone pic), I took note of the long term parking rates, at $375 per month PLUS an 18.4pct NYC parking garage tax. Most all parking is underground, and like slithering into a can of sardines...without touching any! At any rate, I couldn't help but wonder where and how the CitySnake parks his Viper :)

City owns all the parking lots in NYC. He just pulls into one of them and has his people park it. I've seen it. All the parking guys come running over and ask if they can help the boss man...

I think citysnake has more lots in other CITY's too.

You guys are simply too much! :lmao:

That photo looks to be from the Brookly side of the East River. I'd say the Williamsburg area, maybe Kent Avenue? I can smell Peter Luger's Steaks in that photo!

I was at Delfriscos on 6th Ave last night. I think they are in contention to take the crown away from Lugers.

Ahhh, Peter Luger's....umm, hey City, don't you owe me a steak dinner or something?

Photo was taken from a customers rooftop condo at 340 East 23rd Street....could also clearly see the Chrysler bldg, but couldn't fit it in. Gramacy Park area exudes wealth and old time money...wonder what the poor people are doing.

I agree, Del Frisco's is a tough to beat two floor steakhouse, upbeat and lively with plenty of friendly scenery at the bar. Been there half dozen times, and it was always packed.

You guys are keeping me on the edge of my chair. What DOES CitySnake do to keep his Viper protected in Manhattan?

Saw a couple hundred views checking out the Empire State...for those of you outside the area, we in the NY/NJ/CT Metro area who live and/or work here are pround of 'our' big city. When the Manhattan steel and concrete skyline was being being erected, Tokyo-Shanghai-Hong Kong were wooden hovels, Europe was lost in antiquity, Dubai was a depository for camel dung, west of the Mississippi was an adventure, San Antonia was a dusty town where revolvers were worn regularly, and California was well, what can I say?

I was in NY back in Feb for the first time for some training. It was in Empire State building on the 7th floor. One time was enough for me. I don't think I'll ever go back. I like the peaceful streets of California and also the non violent drivers here...I did notice a quiet a few nice cars scrambling for parking space downtown and almost every car seems to have paint missing on the front/rear bumpers...it's a different place and truly a place that never sleeps...

Some people like that it's a place that never sleeps. There's always something going on, and, if you're lucky enough to have a soundproof apartment, you can escape to your apartment and pretend that 1.5 millon people aren't outside your door.

The energy of the place gets into my soul and if you need a break from it it's easy to fly away for a change of pace.

Different strokes for different folks.
