The Quest For The 10 Second Run, Who Can Make It Happen

[WANTED]

After reading many post on this subject, mine included, I'm more interested in
who makes it happen first and who ends up posting the fastest 1/4 mile run
with a BONE STOCK 2008 VIPER. Someone WILL get a 10 second run but who's
it gonna be? I've been thinking how to make it fair for all those who will be
trying.

THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS

1) SAME CAR

2) SAME TRACK

3) SAME LANE

4) SAME DAY

5) TRACKS AND AREA'S WITH BEST CLIMATE FOR THIS ( MARYLAND ) IN THE
FALL OR SPRING.

WHAT WOULD BE NEEDED

2 COUPES

2 ROADSTERS

2 ACR'S

THE DRIVERS WHO THINK THEY CAN GET IT DONE

*** EACH CAR WOULD HAVE TIME TO COOL BETWEEN RUNS ***


So my question now is who wants to make their cars available for this and
who wants to prove they are the best and can get it done.


I will be the first, bring the cars and I will give it a shot, anyone else ready?

Fair? Fair is whoever can do it, nothing matters but if the car is bone stock. If some one has better track and weather conditions then someone else thats too bad for them, when you cross the finish line they don't ask if you missed a gear or was the track to slippery or would you like to try again, they simply say win or lose, no excuses! If you can get 2 cars on the same track the same day that doesn't even guarantee identical track conditions as time of day, track temps, lane and even fluids put down in your lane between runs can make things much different on every run so there really is no such thing as equal, close probably but exact no.
I don't know if I will be the first but when my ACR gets here in August I hope? I will be at MIR and if the car is what I believe it is it will be in the 10's by the end of September if not the first day out. If you want to get together with me at the track rental let me know because we have a couple planned between now and Nov 15th at Mir.

Well I am letting you guys know now, NOV 15th at MIR I am doing a thing with the 6speedonline guys so if interested let me know and I will get you hooked up with the organizer. Its a good website, 6speedonline has a lot of different type cars and they organize a lot of races and some really cool guys. I started racing with that group last year because all my old race buddies moved away or pussed out, last time out we had 10 second Mercedes and 9 second BMW my 10 second Z06 and plenty of Porsches. I think its time to introduce them to some V10 Mopar Power. The guys came as far away as NY and NJ and we rent both lanes so we can run heads up. There is always usually someone taping the action and taking pictures and they will usually post them on youtube. You can bring as many cars as you want!

I'm close to MIR and haven't been down the track there since I was there wilh my GT500 years ago. So, are you only looking for '08's, or other Vipers as well? I've been looking for an excuse to take my 06 Paxton car there. Is the rollbar rule waived on cars faster than 11.5 during a track rental?

Bring whatever you want there is no tech inspection for track rentals so there is no roll bar rule. We are out to have fun and run good times, don't care what kind of car you have!
