I really must invest in a better digital camera! I forgot to take the regular 35MM with us. :( My son is visiting from Key West, and freezing his butt off, and I wanted to take him out for a cruise before he leaves. Can you believe...he prefers the weather down there over my nice, cool corner of Virginia Beach?!?!?! LOL I have a couple e-mails to write...Paolo, JonB. Needless to say I found the wheels I have dreampt of (Thanks Fitzgerald Dodge and Don Boston). No small feat for me, as some will attest. :) Thanks to Tony Gomez for the canards, I have not made a final ruling on them yet...black....red....none? It sure is good fun just to mess around with things though. And you kow how it goes....I just HAD to get them mounted to see how they would look! I figured I have the rest of the winter months to decide the rest!! LOL!! :) Last thing on my list is a front splitter, GT2 type (or thereabouts). (And yes...I FINALLY found a red steering wheel, e-brake handle and shifter...THANKS Ben Beckert!)

I'm outta here...I only have my son for 2 more days!! :)

(smiling) Thanks Chuck...I knew I could count on you!! :) There could be hope...I plan to at least visit VIR this year since I am surrounded by Tom Sessions, the Cones, and others. George (locally here at EuroSport) races with a bunch of P-cars there regularly. Does mainly P-car work, but he has taken good car of me and the snake on several occasions (one included his B-B-Q, free food and free BEER!!!). :) Also, that Bugeater dude hangs out in these parts now, I hear he bought a house up in Va Beach.

Joe, I have been on a quest for the front splitter for years. I have been close MANY times, thanks to JonB, but I have always had something else pop up that needed attention more. There is nothing stopping the splitter now, I have vowed that I will sell myself on the corner (SCARY THOUGHT) to finish this last step! :) There are many to choose from, but I am only interested in the GT2 type. The others look great, don't get me wrong, I'm just partial to the GT2.

The more I look at the wheels, the happier I am! I have ALWAYS wanted HRE 545's, then BBS type next, but could never decide. Paolo and JonB were very helpful during the process, and patient. When I saw these....it was like seeing my Viper for the first time...I just knew! (Oh, was I supposed to say "like when I saw my wife for the first time"??? Soory dear!!!) Anyway....I have since realized that the spokes on the Kinesis are a bit thivker than the HRE (or so it seems), and I am liking that!! :)

Still haven't decided what to do with the stockers, so I'm doing what I always do when I am unsure...nothing. :) My gut says to keep them for my son's son....and since I plan to sell myself on the corner...I don't really need the money. LOL!!!

Lastly, for me there is few things that feel the same as knowing there is fresh rubber on.....the car!!! :) I'll post pix of my stocker tires....been on the car since Dec. 1997! When Tom Sessions had the car a few months ago to do a bunch of things, he had them off to install the Eibachs. Boy, did I get a hard time about them tires!! LOL!

Chuck? Have you made a decision about Tators B-B-Q??? I'm on the way, and I AM going! We can stop and meet up with Bugeater, Mark Cooper...others??? :)

I'm planning on Tators but I live day by day.

If you're gonna track that sucka, I'll make sure to sign up for the same event.

That is one bad looking vehicle. Rims look excellent. Now if only 2 viper Chuck could get his paint to look like that!!!

Looks Great Tony!

What brand of rear wing is that?

Rich, you have mail. :) That is one of Wing King's and Tony Wendling's first creations...though I am sure Wing King has earlier. It is/was a MutliAxis wing, currently sold by PartsRack. I believe the original owner had the end plate cut down a bit...but I can't recall. I'll have to ceck my files. Wing and stripes were added about 3 months before VOI5....and Keith had the car there (it is in the panoramic poster).

Weather is turning John!!! :) I think they'd flip if more than one Viper showed up my my favorite *******!!! :)

Wow Tony - looks great!!! A love the wheels.

I have a couple of questions. Are your wheels 18's or 19's?? How do the canards attach? What steering wheel did you go with?? Any pics?

Thanks.

Anthony, the steering wheel is stock, off another 97 RT/10. Ben Beckert decided he didn't care for the red, so we traded the whole package. I'm a wimp...you should have seen me taking the darn airbag module off! LOL I made sure NOBODY could see me with me motorcycle helmet on, and my cell phone with Tom Sessions guiding me. He kept telling me that he has NEVER had a bag deploy....I figured it was MY luck that it would!! LOL It was actually very funny....but not as hard as I made it out to be. :)

The wheels are 18", Kinesis K58. Right now, the canard are attached with body molding tape....mainly to get a feel for whether I like them or not..and to make sure about the position. The final product will likely require three holes (just like the GT2) which is why I am going the conservative route. Drilling the fascia is no big deal for some...but not me. :)

I am buying one of Rich Detert's shift shafts so I can add the fianl touch...the red shift knob. It is hard giving up my MOMO carbon Fiber...but if I can get the position right, and the height, I think the stock one will be fine.
