im throwing a code thats saying my drivers side cat is going on me. im told by tator who i totally trust. he told me its likely it will last a while but still throw codes..(#420). one option is a o2 simulator i guess.

im thinking of taking them off and putting on a good set of mufflers to keep it from being too loud.

right now i love the sound with the muffler delete/x-pipe and roe ovals

keep in mind i wanna install headers this winter when i do the S/C...

anyone do this? and how do you like it.

The SC with no cats won't be that much louder. the RT exhaust is pretty nice but the SC is gonna be loud as-is. not _that_ loud, but loud enough. you might be surprised that you like going catless. so while you are there...

Or get some hi-flows and save the environment. i've run both (hi-flow and no-cats) and the no-cats w/ borla isn't much louder than the hi-flows at all.

im running belenger, cat delete, & borla. no sc

the car sounds mean as hell at idle and all over the range its amazing & i love it other then from 3000 to 4000 RPM its WAYY loud like 75 people playing trumpet C# at full blast, but i think when i add an x-pipe in the rear it will get rid of that

I'm using the RandomTech metal substrate hi-flow cats with the RandomTech muffs, X-pipe on my '98 GTS. I love the sound of it. I was told that in addition to the nasty rotten-egg smell you could get w/o cats, you won't encounter backfiring like you would with the cat-delete.

How many of you catless guys actually encounter "backfire" I have NO idea. With the hi-flow cats, I still have a little 'burble' on decel, but no odor and no backfire to destroy my spendy (and good lookin') exhaust system. Many have gone cat-less and love it. Your call...
