To those of you with RT10's with stock stocks and Eibachs, has you had any additional issues with speed bumps, driveway entrances etc? Seems I rub every now and then, I didnt know if the addtional drop made a large difference.
Thanks

I recently ditched my Eibachs for Aldans and raised the car by about a half inch. Wow I cannot believe I waited so long to do this. Ride is SO much better (I went with very light 300/500 spings on the Aldans) and the half inch really helps on clearance. What I am getting at is that yes the Eibachs are low and yes they are stiff.

Not to change the subject, BUT DAM :headbang: , look at the shape of the Gen II. I've owned mine for nearly 5 years, and still feel like a '5 year old looking at his new Hotwheels car' when seeing the Viper. I get all giddy. Still the best/meanest/sexiest looking car on the road, IMO.

I've got Eibachs on a gen1. Mine rubs significantly more than it did with the stock springs, no doubt about it...

Eibachs are stiff and your car will have a much greater tendency to scrape. I recommend that you factor in your local road conditions. Also, consider NWE spring caps as they don't lower the car as much and do not change the ride stiffness.

OK......I'm a *****......2 time owner and didn't know that an RT had a different front end than a GTS (knew they changed the nose from G1 to G2)

You do have to know where you're going and what you are going over but it has never been a problem of not being able to get where I wanted to go. I would do it again; I love the look, handling and the ride. 4,500 miles since it has been painted and no scrapes yet :2tu:

Compare to above; Gen 2 has more "air dam" material underneath to scrape off, the fog light holes are different, and the grill openings on the sides appear more tapered.

I love them on my 02 GTS. I didn't know there was a difference between a GTS and an older RT/10 either, but I can see the difference now. It looks like the older RT/10 would have better clearance than the GTS. I do scrape once in a while, but it's well worth it with the handling and looks. When I scrape its just the under side of the nose only. I'll just fix it if it gets too scraped up.

I put Eibachs in the rear of my gen 1 only. The car looks and sits perfect that way. I had the Eibachs on front and the tire did not fit in the wheel well properly, to close at the top and the nose looked too low.. They do sit high in the rear so it sits very level with a pair just in the rear...Al..May be able to dig up some pics of it that way...

How much work is it to install Eibachs and what would be the typical cost to do all four?

If you're mechanically inclined at all you can do it with a jack and stands in your garage with just a few tools and spring compressors in about 2 hours. You should be able to buy them for around $300
As far as the dragging issue just add 20" wheels and you have the great wheel gap and all the clearance of stock due to the added wheel height LOL!
