I like reading stories like this from an actual owner, or someone who has driven such a car. Instead from people who doesn't have the first hand knowledge.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Yeah, but that BMW has the best looking hood ornament I've seen in a while! That might just be enough to sell me on it. I didn't have the ZO6, but I thought the brakes on my Vette sucked! I've never driven ANY GM car that had decent brakes.

first of all, nice set on the Asian, well spent three thousand. gotta love todays women, its like an auto body shop anymore. drop off your old lady and place an order ("OK doc, take a bit off the gut, add some t*ts, plump up that *ss, and ill pick here up at five") enough ramblings of a madman. Secondly, I bought a 2002 Z06 and i agree, very "nice" car. it is a true sportscar, unfortunately I like musclecars and IMHO it simply is not a muscle car. I sold it two weeks later and took the loss. Now, my wife's RennTech CLK mercedes, thats a quality sportscar, a CLK 320 that will smoke a Z06 and purr like a kitten, what a sleeper, Im thinking about getting RennTech to do an upgrade a 2002 SL roadster im considering, it'll cost some bucks but itll be a "ma-chine" when them german boys do their magic on it. no matter what, i love the viper first and foremost, but the old ladies CLK GT is one bad grocery getter and a vette aint got a hope in h*ll of bugging her with their presence next to her (plus she got mace). No offense intended, I just dont like vettes and yuppie beemers, theyre like old lady drivers, ricers, and dumptrucks; they shouldnt be allowed on the roads

2002 Z06 vs Viper,

Two weeks ago we traded my wife's '02 C5 Coupe (her Christmas present, no less) for an '02 yellow Z06. I have only put 180 miles on the Z but based on that I would have to agree with nearly everything that has been said. The brakes on the Z are right there! In fact, I nearly put myself through the windshield the first few times I drove it. The clutch is very light and way different ftom the Viper. I've been having a hard time getting a feel for it and killed it at a stop light yesterday when I wanted to jump out ahead of another car in a merging lane. Felt like a ****. There is an overwhelming number of buttons and switches on the Z and I haven't begun to learn what they do. I haven't really gotten on it yet because it's not broken in, but it is a nice car. I will say, however, most people don't give it a second look when I take it out.
I love the yellow color, but the wheels need to be chrome. The stock ones always look dirty. I guess that will be my first mod.
Have a good 4th!!

All those buttons are one of the coolest features on the car. You can do onboard diagnostics tests with those things. Check engine light? Oh, let me push my handy dandy buttons and find out exactly what it is. That rules! The Vette is definitely much more comfortable and more driver friendly, but the Viper is much more appealing. The Vettes clutch feels nice on the street, but they won't hold near the horsepower. Again, nice hood ornament on the BMW, looks custom made!
