I bet their warranty is better than a RD! What so you think Dave?

oh cmon...don't start that again... ;)

ya, i am not looking to do any "slight" modifcation. Just want a replacement readiator...plain and simple...and $538 seems to be cheaper than others out there for a new radiator...unless others have anything to say...

Call Chuck Tator at Tator's Dodge. The Wizard most likely can get you a stock radiator at a discount.

You could try calling ViperPartsLarry. He probably has a used/new one in stock for a good price.

Thought about that...but it seemed the stock radiators (even with our discount) was pretty high...

94-02 Viper radiator #4855123AB MSRP $693.00 [44 left is Chrysler's stock]
Less 20%

How about finding a GOOD radiator shop and have them re-build it? You'll save a lot of money!

Chuck...never thought of that...What should I expect for a price on something like that Chuck? Any downsides? For a non-racer like me?

I thought used...but the newest slightly used that will fit in my car will still be at least 6-7 years old.

Tank off, rodded, flow/pressure checked & painted - $100-120, depends on the shop, should be good as new. :2tu:

Man... Oh Great Got One... You might just have to give old Chuck a bump on the vendor review forum after a thread like this.

I mean, you've just almost saved a bunch of money on your car radiator today!

I'm not trying to predict the future, hence the "almost" reference. The future is uncertain right now. Dave6666 2.0 is at risk of failure.

Plus, no more white socks. I've started wearing nylons. I'm in training for an upcoming rendezvous.

Don't buy a cheap radiator, remember that you get what you pay for. This is one of the best radiators out there.
Alans Triple Pass Performance Dodge Viper Radiator "The Best Around"

Not that I don't disagree that MOST of the time "you get what you pay for" is the word of the wise, sometimes though you don't have to pay that "viper tax".

I know I bought an aluminum radiator off ebay years ago from a no name company for my big block truck and it still works like a champ to this day. Only paid $120 shipped for it also. Same equivalent radiator in the other "get what you pay for brands" cost $500-600

Well, big block trucks don't have radiator destroying chassis harmonics like Vipers do. And driving style with a Viper is much more harmful to auxiliary engine components than with a big block truck.

Anyway, off of the tech front and on to the sales front, I sent an inquiry to Dan at Viper Specialty about the product that he sells and endorses, and it's the Alan's Performance model. When you add it up, that product really does seem to have the best reviews here.

How true that is, the point is sometimes you don't always have to pay the high price for a quality product. Sometimes the "cheapies" have the same amount of quality.

Just a risk you have to ask yourself you are willing to take.

Asking the local shop(s) here and will let you guys know what I find out...

Yeah, keep us informed. I mulled over some of my cooling issues with the guys Saturday and at 70k miles it sounds like I'm due for a rebuild too. You think Colvin has peoples?
