AMEN!

How many Gen 1's are they still making? How many Gen 2's, 3's, or 4's are they still making? I understand everyone's situation is different and if you need a fast sale, pricing a Viper to give it away will surely move it. Good, Clean, Well Taken Care of Vipers should demand PREMIUM $$$$ - even with mileage on them. OMG - 80,000 miles in 17 years??? That's only 4,700 miles per year! To each his own, but I do not understand those Viper owners that want a 1:1 matchbox in their garage. You'd be better off buying a regular matchbox car and keeping it in your pocket! NOTHING puts a bigger smile on my face than every MILE I put on my Viper. How many Viper owners do you hear talk about buyers remorse? The look, the uniqueness, and the attitude of a VIPER - are worth 10x any $ I have spent on any other vehicle.

+1. No car club kills their own values as much as the VCA.

Well said. Cars are made to be driven.

Price sounds a little high for the mileage. $27K sound a little better.

If you're not in a rush, you can see if you get any bites at $30K and then drop it down.

Don't wait to long, I think once the 2013 comes out you might get lost in the rush to sell off the old to buy the new one.

Good Luck, she's a beauty!

Flashback pics of a particular Gen 1 and a similarly colored Gen 2. Can't see the 2013 replacing anything in these pictures.

With all the extras in the engine compartment, you should have at least one picture! Beautiful car at a great price!

Good luck with the sale!

Painted/stenciled factory pad. You can still get them from Dodge for like $130. I bought a spare. Make sure you have a place to put it if you are going to store it LOL.

You have a beautiful car Ryan, I wish you luck selling it. I'm confused about the miles. Your VCA classified doesnt state the miles and your eBay listing has it at 35,000.
Your signature states "86k and climbing fast!"

Again AWESOME car

I ordered the hood pad today. Did you paint it yourself? Does it come with the logo stamped in the material?

Sure....lots of us selling our Gen 1's or 2's for $40K to buy those $120K Gen 5's.... not. :smirk:

You can spend quite a bit of money getting a Gen 1 back to 100%, I have done numerous. If you want the raw feel of the Gen 1, buy a car like this?

I agree with Chad.... Folks out in the real world think the viper is a very high priced sports car. the ones that can afford it will pay much more untill they run across some seller from the VCA and see they can get a low 20k mile car for less than a reg new car. If i was ever to sell one of my vipers you wont see it on the VCA. The only folks that think a car with over 10k miles is high mileage care are folks in the VCA. Im done with my rant.

LOL The sale is going well, and the new owner will be a VCA member :)

Also, Yes, I am having to go to a Gen 2 for various personal reasons...just need to find one that is in as good as shape as my Gen 1...harder to find than I thought.

Not sure, I even want to respond for risk of loss of life...

We would replace it but I would probably look for the other 2 colors were considering.
Black might win this time so we could do the Snake Skin Green Stripes!

Hold onto it for another two years, then drop me a PM. I hope to be in the market by then. :D

FWIW, I'd be interested if I were in a position to buy, sounds like a nice ride according to your list and those vouching for it...

I known this car well and there is no way you would guess that it has more that 20K miles by looking at it.
It is in amazing shape and should bring good money from the right buyer.

I don't get it. The only club where owners will brag on how cheap the can buy a new car and then beat on used car sellers that their price is too high when they list it here. Look at what the cheap prices have done, younger owners get them, then wreck them, and they ain't making any more of them. We got a young twenty somthing guy at our local cars and coffee that has wrecked 2 in the last 6 months. Look at the salvage sites, where there used to be a few carcasses to chose from there are now many. I see soon, where prices for the early models will be coming back, and people will be restoring them. I say Ryan, keep it in the stable and give her a Gen II brother to play with! Of course you gotta sell it to the family comptroller. When mine complains I just threaten to quit my job!
