TINT Back Window RT/10?

Our local VCA chapter had a dyno day at Heffner's Performance yesterday and there was a yellow RT/10 with tinted windows (15%). It was awesome looking in my opinion, especially against the yellow.

The owner (John Carter) said that there was no problem with tinting the rear window. I'm thinking about doing it to my black RT/10 and had concerns about the rear window too until I saw his car.

I have seen it spray painted black. I was thinking about tinting it yellow.

I wouldn't tint the rear window. Visibility is already restricted. My V-mania windows aresomewhat tinted enough.

Go the back window on my RT/10 last month. The visibility is fine. If your using the back window as your only source of rear visibility then your in trouble already. That's what the side mirrors are for. If you want the window tinted then get the window tinted, you'll get a thousand opinions and the only opinion that matters is yours!

The window is glass. Trust me. I exploded one into a million pieces. Twisted it while trying to install it. (Don't do that.)

REDSLED is right...choice is yours ultimately. I have my side mirrors pointed out to the blind spot so to minimize vis loss due to the roll bar.

Craig A. Petersen...my window is plexy. I think newer Rt-10s have glass.

I posted the same question about tinting the back window a few months ago.. The window feels like plastic but.. it's glass.. it has a d.o.t. stamp right on it.. somebody said that could only happen if it's glass.. my car is black.. and .. i got a really dark tint..looks so much better than untinted in my opinon. i also have the v-mania windows. and.. it just seems to compliment it.. let me know if you want me to email you a pic..

Wow you guys have me all excited now. I want to limo tint my back window for privacy. Too many rednecks in raised pickups peeking in where I live. (haha j/k) It will also hide the V1 i'm going to place behind me on top of the center console.

I'd love to see some pics especially of black with dark tinted back windows & Vmania windows as well if you have them...
