There are very few cars that I think it looks good on. The Viper is not one of them.

Mine are actually sprayed with car paint, spray tint always tends to make them look hazy and dull.

I have a question for those who have tinted the rear tail lights and turn signals. Have you stepped up to a brighter bulb instead of the stock bulbs?? LED's??

My reason for asking is that I have always been UNimpressed with the stock Gen I and II Vipers' tail/brake/turn signal lights in the daytime when compared to other cars.

Thanks in advance.

plus you would have to take the light apart and then worry about condisation getting in there everytime you wash it, out side looks good and alot easier!!!

I've not looked at it but assume there's only holes for the bulbs that it would have to be sprayed into? I agree, it does seem like it would be difficult.

To each their own but for a group that would wear padded bras if the NHTSA told them it saves lives, painting lenses doesn't seem like a logical move.

how did you replace they yellow in your tail lights with red?

I didn't. The clear lens with yellow bulb is covered by painted tail light.

The SRT tail light does not have the yellow lenss like the Gen 2.

However.... I did tint my yellow lens , red, on my Gen 2.

BLUEBATMOBILE make a red overlay to cover the yellow lens.

Looks good too.....:2tu:

My lenses were painted on the outside with a solution of clear and a couple drops of color.
Cool part is since the lenses have a painted finish, they can be polished like the rest of the car.

Treesnake hooked me up with the Red out overlay on my yellow turn signals. Looks great IMO. :2tu:
