When I bought my viper the car mad tiny scratches in the paint. It looks like a spider web on the hood when you get real close. I have used the 3 different Mothers wax phases but they did not take out the scratches, can anyone tell me what they use for taking out minute scratches.

Z-5, I believe, is the filler. BUT, if your scrathes are deep, it's not gonna help much. From what I have been told by some detailers (this is just heresay now) scratches on the clear coat can be removed by proper use of a orbital polisher. If used correctly, the heat from the polisher actually melts the clear coat and helps fill the scratches. The downside is if you are not careful, you can burn the paint. Talk to some detailers, get some opinions from people here, talk to Sal at Zaino.

Somewhere in the dark recesses of Tony's archives are instructions on how to rid yourself of those spiderwebs. If I remember right, it involved using some special type of towel for the wipe-down.

Anyone who is up on their Zainology, please respond. When the sun comes out in June, I'll be very bothered by the spiderwebs in my black paint.
