Tire Date Codes

I have always been able to find these. I am looking at buying a set of wheels and tires from a member. The pictures he took have DOT followed by a bunch of letters. On my car the code is DOT 4MMY JKJ X 1309. The last 4 digits 1309 means the 13th week of 2009. On the pictures I have so far the whole code is letters. For example, on these tires it shows DOT 4MMY 7KJ X and then nothing more--no date???

Anyone have any idea?????????
