Roy Terpstra TNT was a stand up guy and did a lot of mods to my old GTS. He went out of business in Houston many years ago. His work was very good.

I wasn't even in middle school when my cousin used to take me to their shop. He had a lot done to his '98 GTS there but like you said, they went out of business. We ran into one of the brother's a few years later in my cousin's old neighborhood but that's the last we heard from them.

The original King Snake was a beast, about 750 HP NA and over 1000 HP on NOS. In its' day, it was the quickest in the quarter. This post got me reminiscing, that car was loud, fast and unapologetic. It is a shame some low-class drivers totaled it in the One Lap.

Here is the original King Snake, many moons ago, up front in gray

I also had an old dyno on it, normally aspirated...

Roy Terpstra of TNT Motorsports made a carbon fiber wing for me for my first Viper, a 1997 GTS..He took almost 3 months. He also sent me a liscense plate frame he said he had to take off his personal Viper because he didn't have any more. It has been on every Viper I have owned since. It reads Worlds Fastest Vipers (top) and TNT Motorsports (bottom). This was in 1998 that he made the wing and sent me the plate frame. Seemed to be a real nice man. :)

never heard a bad thing about TNT

TNT built some monster engine packages, but they were hopelessly out of the competitive loop when it came to road course suspension/brake setups. They did a Wilwood brake package on a Gen1 that had 3 proportioning valves on it. Back (late) in the day, there was quite a bit of negative press about them. Something about blocks and VINs, as I recall.

When I was looking at another king snake I saw this one and inquired. It's owned by a car dealer and ge mentioned he d drive it to the track but not run it. Guess he can't move it as it was last summer when I inquired.

Seems like I got a couple of people thinking about the old days. ;) The day my cousin bought his '98 (in early '99) was the first time I had ever seen a Viper. I didn't have a clue what it was but I LOVED it. TNT did have some bad rep. but from what I recall, they were pretty top notch.

Years ago I had a Black with Silver stripes '95 with the TNT 550 package, and juice as well - when I pulled that car into the garage the cat used to run under the bed, the walls shook, etc....what a beast.
