As everyone knows maintaining a good reputation is VERY IMPORTANT. I have always maintained a hardworking, honest & professional reputation amongst the Viper Community.

Recently, there have been some emails posted attacking me personally as well as Doug Levin Motorsports. Due to the SEVERITY of these false allegations. I have pursued legal action.

Unfortunately, I have been advised by legal Counsel to refrain from discussing this matter until the case is settled. Please understand how difficult it is for me to refrain from discussing these false statements with all of you. As soon as I am able to discuss this matter without hurting my case, I will let all of you know....

One thing I can discuss is the FACT THAT I WILL NOT STOP until the truth prevails and the individuals who are responsible for these false allegations are held responsible for their actions.

That does stink. Especially when you are a legit company. I am also interested in what legal action can be taken about slander that is posted on a board that gives a blanket "All things posted on this board are completely the opinions of people and mean absolutely nothing"

You are a hard working and highly ethical individual. i would venture to say that all of the people who have been your customers, and have had the chance to sit down and meet you know that you have the highest integrity (in a ruthless business).

I am truly sorry that you must go through something like this, but it is not surprising. Stay focused on what you do well, and don't let something like this make you hard edged and synical.

You are a good honest man (and that's about as good a compliment that I can give anyone). Keep up the fight when it comes to this test. I know that you'll come out on top. Just don't let it get you down, when you know in your heart that you are doing the right thing.

For what it's worth I've meet Doug on several occasions and found him to be a very stand up guy. Although I have never done business with him, I wouldn't hesitate to send my car to DLM

It is kind of amazing how rumors float around, started by a small circle if individuals obvioulsly so blantenly jealous of his HP numbers and reputation. I even had someone come up to me in the VCA and ask me why I got a DLM blower when all his packages can't keep a belt on...

I won't let anyone else touch my car except Doug himself or someone UNDER his supervision. I've had DLM cars now for nearly 3 years and only threw 1 belt. The cause of that belt being thrown was a pully seizing up because of a limerock road throwing up dust and getting in the pully bearings. Anyone living in FL will attest to limerock roads in the dry summer..

Cream will rise to the top and the other will sink to the bottom and we'll all see who (or they) it is(are)..

I read nearly every post in the gts/rt 10 forum and have heard nothing but good things about Doug.

So I would either go with him or TNT. Again 1 bad guy making it tough on all the others!!!

Since I socialize with other Viper owners I've heard about another Viper tuner in this area that has a bad reputation. I do not base my thoughts on just one bad Viper tuner. Considering I was to send my Viper and a lot of money (totaling over $100,000.00) out of state (over 2000 miles) you have think twice about your decision.

About 2 weeks ago I called up Levin Motorsports to find out a few things about the products they carry, get some prices etc.

A woman answered and said one moment. 10 seconds later Doug himself gets on the phone and proceeds to give me 20 + minutes of information about all sorts of things VIPER. MOST of which had nothing about particular products he sells. He acted as if I was the most important thing going on in his life at the time and believe me the products I was asking about wouldn't pay his phone bill for 1 month.

Didn't even ask things like Well when you planning on doing this, how much you plan on spending, etc etc.
Really made a great impression. Thanks Doug.

For a person as busy as I am sure he is, to take this much time and NOT push even once for a sale he showed a lot of class.

On the other hand Doug you may want to higher a few bulldog salespeople to push your products a little harder j/k

I never saw one bad thing said about Doug but I was gone for a week maybe that was when it happened. I also don't see ONE single post in this thread saying ANYTHING bad about him or his products sooooooooooo what does that lead a person to think . . .

Hang in there Doug good products and happy customers will triumph over BS posts.

When I was looking for a "Super-Tuner" to install a Supercharger, I called everyone. After the first 30 seconds of talking with Doug, I knew I had my man. I have nothing but trust and respect for him. He is currently working on my Viper and I even sent all the money up front (I insisted, not him).

If there is anything I can do to help Doug, let me know. It's a shame that good hard-working people (like Doug) have to put up with such things. Keep the faith Doug, and keep in mind that there aren't enough people in this community to effectively slander you!

I must be missing something. I first read Scotts post slamming Doug. Than the other day I read the earlier post from scott about putting the rumors to bed and it seemed to me like he sang the praises of Doug, and even took some responsibility for how his car came out. Am I missing something or did he contradict himself in these two posts. I hesitated asking this for two reasons. 1. I didn't want to bring this topic back up to the top, but it has gotten action and finds it's way up there anyway. 2. I really feel like maybe I am missing something.

I can't speak for Doug's work, but I have been fortunate enough to know Doug since 1996, and have always felt that he is a straight person. On the few occasions Doug has gone out of his way (at my request) and helped either in person or over the phone people that simply had problems with their Viper, just to be a good fellow VCA supporter. In any and all of these cases, Doug received absolutely NO COMPENSATION, yet was more than willing to help a fellow family member out. It is because of his "good" qualities that I have never had a problem recommending his services to any VCAer when they have asked me my (very unknowledgeable) opinion of Viper Tuners. First class guy and business.

i dont really know whats going on and probably its best that way. i have spoke with doug a couple times and he was corteous and educated. i am considering a supercharger in fall and he seems like someone i would go to when im ready to drop that kind of money. nobody can please everyone, if you do, youre either kissing *ss too much, being dishonest, or living in a dreamworld, im sure this issue will resolve properly and i truly do not think the allegedly slanderous statement(s) can truly do detriment to a man like doug who obviously (by simply looking at this board) has such high praise and good comments to his name and work.
