To tint or not to tint ... Post pictures please

I am interested in having the windows of my RT/10 tinted. Like a good VCA member, I performed a search on the topic but did not find many photos of Vipers with tinted windows. Would those of you with tinted Viper windows mind posting a few pictures for me? Thanks.

In NYS there are legal limits to tint levels.
May want to check out the local laws first.

My vote would be no.. don't do it.
Don't need any more reason for "them" to pull ya over.

Got limo tint on mine. You can't see into the car even if you wanted to.

Pro: Privacy, like when other cars run up on you and try to stair into the car.
Cooler inside of car, it gets cool enough that I often run the air on the lowest setting and thats in hot Dallas in the summer time.

Con: Illegal and can cost you a fine.

I also have the front glass installed with a sun shield over the top of the
glass. Its like wearing sun glasses all the time.

Moderate tinting looks great and reduces interior heat. If you're about to be stopped by the police, just roll both windows down and you won't have a problem.

I would post pics but I've given up trying. My car looks totally awesome.

The whole thing with tints I think is so cops can see inside your car. Just roll them down AS SOON AS you see cops and / or lights.

Here is my tint. It's a silver smoke flavor tint. I don't know if I like it or not. It has a bit of a green tint to it because I later found out that in the US, the glass has a green tint to it from the way DOT makes them. I think I should have gotten limo tint instead. But many people like what I have on it now. Just not too keen on the green tinty look.

Thanks for all of the responses. I am fairly certain that I will have the windows tinted and I am encouraged by the pictures that I have seen so far. Does anyone one want to venture a guess as to how much it will cost to have two RT/10 windows and a skinny back wind shield tinted? Thanks again for the feedback.

Should be no more than $200.00 depending on your area. Around here it was about $120.

Its easy to make your tint legal. All you need is a doctors note stating that you are photosensitive to sunlight and you need the tint.

I know it sounds rediculous but I am serious and it does work.

got a quote to have mine tinted with lumar (which I have been informed that it is the best tint) for $75.00 BTW love your car reminds me of mine I almost bought that one but you beat me to the punch. I think that I will have mine tinted as well, but very light because I hate tinted windows at night, cause it is hard to see out. Best of luck. I'm not big on tint as I understand it reduces the effectiveness of the V1 and other radar detectors.

Tint looks good though, but for an RT/10 I'm not sure if that's not counterproductive, not to mention less useful.

What states do not have restrictive tint laws?
