I just learned that someone we all know and respect, a mentor, a good friend is selling his Viper and is leaving our Viper family! :( Vipermad [Tony] you WILL be missed for sure! His Viper is in the classifieds and if it does not sell we'll have him around a little longer! :smirk:

Tony, best of luck to you and don't be a stranger here!! :bonker:

I met Tony for the first time at the Viper Vette shootout at the VA Hospital here in Richmond a couple of months ago......what a super nice guy!

Hope this is just one of those "temporary" things, that many of us have done (me included) getting out of our Viper only to get back in one later down the road.

All the best Tony!

As the late...great, crocodile hunter would say.....CRICKEY!!! I ain't gone yet!!

While I'm here.....Here's my plug!!!

There are many reasons to be honest.....none really have to do with the car directly (of course)! I simply have lost my desire to drive it! Go figure!!!

The thing is scary fast, is a blast to drive....nothing new on the horizon but a break. Sure, I could keep it during the break...but part of the journey was building it. That is mainly done....might not be to anyone else's taste but mine....so be it. :)

When I can sit down and think of driving with Rick, John, DrDJ, et al on a trip to Richmond...or to the Crab Feast (while FUN EVENTS).....and NOT want to go....the party is over.

If I sell it...I sell it. If not....no big deal. SOMEONE really SHOULD enjoy it. Time is on my side. Worst time, really, to sell.....but it CAN be had for a fair price. :) AND....some of the extra shi....stuff I have can no longer be found.

How many remember that "Save on Everything....except this" huge dealer banner? Yep......hanging in the garage waiting to go with the car. :)

But...like I said...I ain't gone yet...SHEESH!! LOL!!

Best group of people I have ever been associated with, no [*****]! :)

Is there something else in mind. I know you lost desire but is it desire for just the Viper or cars in general because I could see a new car in your future. It just better be better than a Viper if you are selling for a new car!!! Lambo?? LOL!

if you sell Tony, the money would make a nice little deposit for a cottage near Newquay ;)

good luck

Tony,

Don't sell. Maybe we can get DeviledHam to start smack with you to reinvigorate your desire to stay within the community.

Congrats and all the best to a Great Guy.

Cheers,

Jay K.

Beautiful car! I enjoyed seeing all the upgrades Tony did along the way. If it sells, I hope you return some day.

I'll forgive you for selling but I won't forgive you if you stop posting. If the passion aint there then it's time. Good luck with the sell.

OK, We have to all agree to not buy Tony's car and don't tell no one about it either................................... :D

I can't believe what I am reading! Tony, you were one of the anchors here, you will be sorely missed. If you do sell, hang around. I bet you just need a change to a convertable :headbang: :headbang: :2tu:

Geez! Roough year for the VA/MD club. First Ron and now Tony. Bummer dude. I hope for our sake you don't sell it.

Unfortunately, your car is bad *** and someone will love it, I know I do. Assuming it goes just remember Tony we'll be here when you come back. Peace bro.

I have been in the same mood before and sold my last Viper and thought I would get out of Vipers. I went out and bought a new BMW to get over the withdrawal. It worked for a while, but I never did get Vipers out of my system. I bought another one around a year and a half later and feel complete again. Good luck with whatever direction you take.

Hey. Everyone gets old. Make sure that new hybrid Toyota has trick wheels and lambskin seat covers. LOL. Seriously, why not store the Viper for a while and see if the passion returns?

No worries, Joe! If you are still thinking about selling....be warned...I might have withdrawls and come up there with a check!! :)

I was just out today....figured it was good engineering practice to run it on the road, get all the fluids up to temp....topped off the gas. On the cool side here so I was gentle with her (for any prospective buyers). LOL!!

Seems I'm better once I get out on the road. Quite possibly the answer IS to just drive it more....true! But....I just don't know. :)

"might have withdrawls and come up there with a check!!"

Any time you are ready. ;-)

Thinking about your reason for selling....
I've had more than a few "project" cars over the years, wierd engine swaps, that sort of thing.
And every one of them turned out the same way. After it was done and over with... I found that I lost interest.
