Today is my Viper\'s 1st Birthday

Today is my Viper's 1st Birthday. It was built February 11, 2002. I'm getting it a 94 octane VEC2 computer card and Sean Roe is getting it a 100 octane unleaded race gas VEC2 computer card. My Viper thanks both Sean Roe and myself for the fine presents

Happy Birthday "sunny" Viper. Just remember not to eat the cake in the car... you did get a cake right? Ah! The presents are good enough for me! Someday, I'll get mine a Roe S/C. Maybe for our (me and the Viper's) 5th anniversary!

One year old and 5,000 miles. Built 2/11/02 and picked up by me at Woodhouse Viper 7/16/02 and driven back home following break in proceedures. Had 1,000 miles on it a few days after I got home and the break in period was over.

My Viper is celebrating its birthday by being Queen of the Garage today because this morning brought 3" of snow and another 1-2" is predicted tonight and they haven't even sent a snow plow down my street yet.

But spring IS coming.

Dyno testing in March.

Viper Days at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course April 25-27th.

Then Summer. :D

When are you going to take that baby for a spin to Columbus? I think I might need some convincing on that yellow color thing....

Buckeye Viper -

When/if the weather ever gets better - NO SNOW! - there are several Ohio Vipers that ARE planning on meeting in Columbus since it's it's equal distant for the far flung members who are planning to meet. We'd love to have you join us. I'll post something here when we decide on a date.

Re: Today is my Viper\'s 1st Birthday

Thanks for reminding me. My yellow GTS just turned 1 year old on Feb 8th. I forgot to celebrate unfortunately. Still debating the Roe S/c as a purchase. Concerned about piston durability. Would it be hard to return to stock if there was an issue.

Happy B Day!

Call or e-mail Sean Roe about his supercharger system. I did both before purchasing mine. He is totally upfront about any and all the issues you may have. If after Sean answers your questions you decide to purchase his supercharger, you will wonder how you got along without it - and I'm talking about everyday driving in traffic at the posted speed limits. The fact that it makes your Viper much faster than a mildly modded Viper is nice, but you don't need to drive insanely...unless you want to. (It is insanely fast above 1/3 throttle and full throttle is downright scarey - and fun.) The torque makes each gear feel like you're one gear lower - 6th gear feels like 5th gear, 5th gear feels like 4th gear, 4th gear feels like 3rd gear, etc. My gas mileage hasn't gone down - I got 17.3 MPG city/highway/full throttle on my first tank since the VEC2 was installed. Low boost on a huge engine is still a big boost in power, and low boost does not damage our creampuff pistons.
