Top Speed

Hello All,
I just purchased a new 2001 GTS about a month ago and I think that I'm going to need plastic sugery to remove the permanent smile from my face!
One slight bummer though...Last weekend I took it out for some high speed runs and it would ONLY go about 155 mph. Any ideas regarding what is limiting my top speed? If its a computer thing, can I somehow modify it?

Jim,

Top Speed in a GTS can only be obtained in 5th gear and even stock you should have found close to 190. In 6th gear the car will be a dog. My GTS with almost 600RWHP I had at over 210mph and it still would not pull 6th gear. If you were in 5th gear and only got 155....it needs service bad!

Where do you find the road space to go 210?

Thanks guys...I should have known to downshift, especially since the rpm's were so low. DUH!
