Could that figure be less than 90% of production?
I wouldn't think that one in ten would be gone.

I remember hearing a stat that about 70% remain, since they are so easy to total due to high body panel cost.
By my memory, it was stated at VOI.7 that about 12.5% were "gone"...Sept. 2002...so, at that point, one can say that of the roughly 16,581 (taken from Maurice Liang's book...hoping that my addition is close to correct) produced from 1992-2002, it is likely that 14,508 remained. Another variable will obviousil be the definition of "gone" and how many may have been "restored".
Add in about 1,800 of the 2003's...and around 2,500 of the 2004's and 1,800 of the 2005's (ALL of these Gen III numbers are GUESSES!!) which equals around 6,100 Gen III's ...with a FINITE but unknown loss rate...but applying the prior 12.5% loss rate (may NOT be the same for Gen III) gives a survival number of at least 5,337.
So, my OFF THE WALL GUESS is about 19,845 Vipers remaining (or more)...but the BIG unknown is the exports. Since I have been guessing all along, I'll guess 800 are "abroad. making and state my final U.S. GUESS as 19,045.
The Viper Mag. stats MAY exclude non-registered cars.

Funny but true in many cases!
Are you wanting a number of cars or owners? The number of owners will be much less as a lot of owners have more than one snake. One guy in our club has 5 and another 4, and several around here with 2. (wish I was one of them)

The Florida clean title thing is B.S.

SO, WHEN YOU SAY CLEAN FLORIDA TITLE that is what it is.

Now, back to the post. Mine has parts from totaled 98GTS, 99GTS(now race only) and 96 RT 10. so subtract 3 from the streets.

I was told that atleast 2 other McViper's have been totalled. So thats 2 more off the list. Go to wreckedexotics.com and you can subtract about 100 more atleast!
