Chuck, we use 5 spoke Forgeline wheels on both of our cars - 17 x 11 front and 17 x 12.5 rear. They are light, strong, easy to keep clean, and help with brake cooling. I highly recommend them. We got ours from Keith Moody at bobby Archer Motorsports....

We use Michelin MXX3's. In front we use 315/35 x 17's and stock size rears. This has proven to be a good combination for Viper Days events - several of the quickest Super Stock class drivers run this set up. As Alan mentioned the MXX3's are hard to find - particularly the 315's for the front. We have a supply that will hopefully last for this season - if I don't keep flat spotting them!!!

18's vs 17's is a tough choice. In theory the 18's woiuld be better (and do allow larger brakes) but the Viper seems to like the extra sidewall compliance that comes from the 17 in the rear.

I hope that this helps!!!

I have a set of 17" Forgelines for sale. They take 315's in the front and 335's in the rear. 3 sets of never used centercaps for them also, if your interested. 713 661 0205

Well i've run the Purner/Hoosier custom fitment in the past and frankly they cannot be beat..

This year i'm running Stock 17"Pilots with Kinesis wheels and have not had any problems staying out in front.. It'll be fun to find some real competition @ Viperdays I know they're out there
You must be registered for see images

I will be driving to the Pahrump,NV Viperdays on these then i'll drive back home to Kent,WA on the same set..

I just went this route about two months ago, prior to going to Pocono. I got everything from Jon B @ Parts Rack and would suggest you call him. I have a 2000 RT/10 and went with 17's all around with 315's in front and 335's in back; Hoosiers. I ran pretty good and probably could have done better but I was trying to get used to the tires and the track first.
