All,

I may have missed this in the archives but I believe someone once said that you can track your car at the factory during the build process. Will someone please help me out and let me know if this is true and where to go online to do it. Would like to see how my SRT is doing.

Thanks for any/all help,
CStegall

All I have ever seen or been able to find has said you can't
follow the car through the build process.

The various codes give you some indication (with out certainty)
of the status of the car in the build process.

I hope this helps and If someone does know of a way to track the
car through the build process, I'd surely like to know also.

milksnake,

You have a status of "D" I would think. I haven't heard of a "B"
code.

"D" means a VIN has been assigned and your car is in the build
schedule now. Mine is also in "D" status When it moves to "D1"
it is actualy being built. It then goes to "I" status which is
inspection where Vipers have been know to stay for months in some cases. My ACR remained in "I" Status for 6 weeks!

I believe based on past experiences, barring any unforseen problems, mine will be ready for "KZ" which is shipped status
some time in early March, possibly late February.
What is your VIN number? Mine ends in 817

Good luck,

Thanks. Our number is 756. We received a faxed invoice from our dealer. Anywhere on the invoice will it show the status.

Milksnake,

You probably got what I got from Chuck Tator (my dealer)
It's not an actual invoice, but a copy of the dealer cost for the
order. At the bottom, it says "this is not an invoice"

The invoices are generated when the car is done.
The dealer cost sheet nor the invoice would show the status code.

Your VIN is before mine, but somewhat close so I'm sure your car
is in the D to D1 stage I would think.
What color did you order?

2charmed,

My SRT/10 went from BX to D status today. I will get my VIN number from the dealer tomorrow. Has anyone tracked how long it takes to get from D status to the dealership? I am assuming with the new way the car is built, less production problems will arise. My birthday is in March so it looks like a birthday present to me!
