So after having the GTR for over 3 years I thought it was time for a change. It was a tough decision after reading all the negatives on the Gen 5, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I must say I love the Gen 5, the look and feel of the car is great. My friends at TRC are making a vid, I'll post it up when it's done. Here are a few pics!

You'll love it, reviews from the rags are totally off base. Reviews on this forum that are negative are only from people not in the market.

Owners (like myself) love them...

E85 won't really have a benefit on a NA car. I doubt the stock fuel injectors could support it either.

Congrats on the new ride. Wish I was ready to purchase....

I would ignore most of the negativity too. I've driven a Gen IV and even if the Gen V is only a pinch better, it would still be an amazing car. And as we can all tell, it is improved in many facets. Be safe until you get used to it!!

Yea had a feeling E-85 won't help much. Made a world of diffrence in the GTR.

Congrats! Interested in hearing your driving impressions compared to the GTR.

Little back ground on the GTR. It was full bolt ons with E-85 and ran 10.09@137mph. As you all know it's easy to drive. The viper has a much more of a drivers feel to it, really love it. Ride is about the same when it comes to harshness of suspension. You feel like you are seating high on the GTR as to the viper feels like you are IN the car and everything is around you. Comfort wise the viper is smaller on the inside but feels much nicer inside. Only thing that bothers me is the tight fit around the pedals, I removed the dead pedal to give me more room. I drove the GTR 750 miles trade it in and drove the viper 750 mile back home. I enjoyed the drive home much more!! Don't get me wrong the GTR is an amazing car and easy to make very fast but after 3 years I wanted something diffrent and the viper just did it for me.

Thanks! Yes great trade in price. The GTR (2009) really held it's value. Bought it used in 2010 with 3k miles for 68k and got 61K for trade. The dealer was great to deal with! Ringgold dodge in Georgia, great people!!!

Congrats...looks great! Good to see owners of other brands can sift through all the nonsense. What other cars were on your short list? Looking forward to your impressions...and will pass them on to a buddy that tracks a modded GT-R, and looking for a car he can simply arrive and drive at track days. Enjoy!

Congrats on the SRT! Did you buy that from Mike? I was lookin at that one but I just don't think I can give up my ACR for one, but if I did, THAT would have been the one! (White, track pack, red leather seats)

LOVE IT!! Enjoy the Viper experience, I am sure it won't compare to having a GTR, people LOVE the Viper! The looks you get are just awesome!

The only other car that I thought of was the C7, but didn't want a base vette. Besides that not many other sports cars in my price range that I liked.

Congrats! What are your goals with the Viper? Just street, or are you planning on road coursing or drag racing it?
