Hi guys,

I have ordered a set of tires from TireRack.com.
UPS lost them ...

I have been trying to contact TireRack for a week without getting much explanation about what is going on. The mail that I have got was rather short:
"Sir, We are investigating along with UPS, Have a nice day ..."

What should I do ?

Hopefully you paid by credit card so you can tell Tirerack to ship you another set while they deal with UPS exclusive of you. If uncooperative you are completely protected by your credit card co. It is their problem, not yours, so you should NOT be placed in limbo.

UPS strikes again.

Tirerack had also sent me some tires, they got stolen. I opened police report and tire rack took care of me asap. Call LUKE. And also call customer service.
HINT: very sqeaky wheel gets the oil.... HINT-HINT

BTW. the police not only talked to neighbors, but also investigated UPS as they had a hunch it may have been inside job.

Don't wait for UPS, it will take 1 month.

Did you get tracking numbers. You can track your tires progress online at UPS.com. You can see at what point in system they got lost. Tire Rack has to file UPS claim since they deal with UPS directly for shipping. Theft is possible internally as well as at your front door. Bad apples everywhere which is why insurance is important.

Cheap shot at UPS, could have been any number of things happen....maybe you should keep your opinion to yourself.

Get me the tracking number, I will research it myself.

I ordered a set of tires from Luke years ago that had to make a certain date to go in a container returning to the UK, as it happens the courier delivered late and missed the container they then tried to deliver another 3 times.. the tires were supposed to be returned to Tirerack as it happens they never got back and were deemed stolen as well.

I got my money refunded by Luke to my credit card after a few phones calls about a month later

Yo, PA.

Not a cheap shot.

FACTS BABY.

The "investigator" of UPS would not even take the police information. Not interested. Didn't care. Took them over a month to get squared and take care of Tireracks' claim.
The UPS driver said she was hurt and left the tires in the middle of my driveway. HOW HARD is it to ROLL a BARE TIRE another 15 feet behind 4' tall bushes and a front porch.?

Not my first encounter with UPS. Sorry, PA if this offends you, but my facts.

Luke at Tirerack is stand up and took my word. Sent another set of tires. I will use tirerack from this point forward.

No spin and no rain zone. Possibly no turn zone as well.

Bet they hook up well though. I am returning mine back to the stock wheels and Pilot Sports this weekend. Enough wear on the Sport Cups for this year.

Let's see, UPS picked them up (tracking numbers somewhere, right?).
They had them at the intake facility, shipment, processing, delivery vehicle, and supposedly to your door.
That leaves UPS or someone who stole them off your porch (hence you mentioned the neighbors being interviewed).
So UPS had them 95% of the way (+/-), and they were stolen or lost somewhere.
So how's pointing out 95% probability a "cheap shot"???
:curse:

My first experience with BFG DRs was back in 1996 on 17" Viper rims. Good enough for what I'm doing. If I can get another set of 18" back rims, the BFGs will only be on the car when going to the strip.

Don't pull those tires off before Saturday Ron, the weather report says no rain, so head for Lapeer!
