Just thought I'd drop an interesting note here. I was watching T.V. and came to an old Transformer cartoon. This was when it was animated by Japanese animators, before it was redone by U.S. animators, etc. I beleive the year of the cartoon was 1983 or 1984. In the cartoon today, I saw a blue sports car, when transformed it look EXACTLY like a Dodge Viper GTS!!!

Upon looking on the internet, I found these pictures of the car. It clearly shows Dodge Viper characteristics and in some shots looks EXACTLY like a GTS and some it doesn't. But you've got to remember that they are drawn and won't be the same in every picture. Some are more rounded, some more flat, etc.

With that said. isn't in nice to know we are driving a car who's design was copied from a old cartoon? If you look, the tail is almost identical to the GTS, the Roof humps, lights, operation of the hood, side mirrors, rear window, rear bumper design, rear lights, fog lamps, clamsell design on door, ever famous crosshairs.., etc, etc, ETC!

ALSO, look at the license plate, C-004, the Viper at the time it was introduced, competed with the C-4 vette.hmmmm

LOL! I still love the Viper!
I know , I know, I watch too many cartoons...
You CANNOT tell me this is coincidence....

Aren't you a big boy now? Why are you still watching toons?....or you got confused with teens(18,19)? LOL

It does look exactly the same as a GTS. Fat tires, lights, hatchback, fog lights, and roof. Let us know when you see Barbie in a Viper too.....Thanks......LOL

It's a well known fact that designers are also sci-fi freaks...
It's like the designers who worked on the structures of those gigantic machines used to build skyscrapers and stuff (Japan) also worked w/ the animators of Gundam Wing to make the mechs. Pretty cool...

Anyway, that's a total trip!

STRANGE

Look at the motor sticking out, it's red on the top and has two throttle bodies sticking out the front.

Are you sure this thing pre-dates the GTS or any Viper design? If it was 1994, the concept of the GTS was already out.

Pretty crazy though

Yes, the transformers were BIG in the states when the U.S. animators redid them in 1985-86 when I was a junior in High School. Before that, the Japanese made the cartoon, which was a few years before that. So it could be 1984 or so. But if the GTS came out in 1994 or 1995 (production in 1996) that is still 12-13 years before it. And if you remember, the C-4's first year was ... 1984, hence the C-004 License plate??

Hmmm, looks like some corporate spy got a look at early 80's concept sketches of the Viper and sold them to foreign agents who gave them to the japanese animators to put into the Transformers cartoon. I hear voices too and they dont like viper rip offs.
