Thats the 2nd one of theres to do it. First one, a blue/white SRT coupe ran a 9.88 like 3-4 months ago on street tires.

That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! :D

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT driving!! :drive:

Can you give us an idea what the build involves or is it a stock set up with the TT on top?
Exhaust modifications? Gears?

Good luck keeping that monster on the street!!

That is just insane. It sounded like those tires were going to shred off through each gear and you could hear them spinning the entire way down the track. How did those tires manage to hold that much power to the pavement? That is some good driving and an awesome Viper.

They do a good job of managing the Boost thru the first few gears to try and get the power down. The boost comes on stronger each gear. It could actually make it very street driveable.

Mike is right. That's Underground Racing's second SRT-10 TT to run 9's on 20" street tires. I know the article says 19's, but they are 20" Nitto Invos.

The blue/white car went 9.88 @ 158. The silver car went 9.81 @ 150.

Both cars have Underground Racing shortblocks with heads/cam and twin turbo kit (including fuel system and AEM standalone engine management).

I've ridden in a couple of their TT cars and I can tell you that they are incredible. They are docile on the street........until you put your foot in it. But you can adjust boost per gear as Mike mentioned, to back off some power in the lower gears.

I'm sure you're going to see more records from Underground Racing as they start spending more time with the SRT-10's.

Anyone know what rear suspension setup the car has? I'd love to know how they avoided any wheelhop, unless the track was just SUPER sticky.

Underground Racing generally installs the Penske coilover suspension on all their big builds. Even their cars that are slammed to the ground have enough weight transfer that they dead hook.

Ride in a car with stock suspension, then ride in one with the Penskes. You'll be a believer.
