Emco DV46 6 Speed Sequential with no lift to shift
Shooter T1,
The Emco will work with out the Motec depending on what you want. The Emco installs as a direct replacement to the T56. It will use the same driveshaft and bell housing that is in the comp coupe. We recommend a 7.25in clutch and the Tilton slave assembly. You will have to shift with the clutch.
Where you will need the Motec is for the no-lift to shift. Depending on the year and harness in your comp coupe it may take a few upgrades. There is a separate harness from Dodge for the Emco gear box, which includes input/outputs for the strain gauge, gear position ECU etc... You will need this harness along with the Motec dash to enable the no-lift shift. If the comp coupe is older you will need to update the main dash harness to the 50IO harness. All of this works in conjunction with the Dodge ECU. There is no need to upgrade to a standalone Motec ECU to achieve no-lift to shift. The Dodge ECU will need reprogrammed.
The 50IO harness will give additional inputs for logging that can be used for things like shock potentiometers. Another upgrade that can be made is to go with a Pro-logging enabled dash.
We are installing this Emco with the clutch, slave, 50IO harness, no-lift harness and Dodge ECU Reflash.
