Used 18\" Pilot sports

Anyone have some used 18 inch rear 335 pilot sports? Hopefully near Los Angeles. Brakes gave me flat spots.

Flatspotted REAR tires? You must be the first Viper owner I've ever heard with THAT problem. Aren't you running a Dilusi setup? Sounds like you NEED a proportioning valve, or to dial in some more rebound in the back shocks to keep from unloading the tires so fast.

Re: Used 18\" Pilot sports

My rear tires also happened to have flat spots. For the last several weeks, I felt that my car don't handle as good as before and the tires seems to run weird..going left and right while driving. At first I thought was the alignment problem..so I took it back to the dealer but after they tested it out, they told me one of my rear tire have flat spot. Is this common on these tires? Do I really need to replace them??

Wasn't Lil' Whoadie running the setup where you could manually alter the brake front/rear bias from inside the car? What happened?

Just for the record--he's NOT using a Disuli setup. He was using another setup where the rear calipers seized up and wouldn't release (even after being towed into the pits).

You could change the proportioning from the cockpit.....if you were a contortionist.

Re: Used 18\" Pilot sports

I did have the prop. valve inside the car. We thought it was leading to problems. Moved it to where all the other kits have them, under the hood. The problem is still present.

I have Sean Roe's brake kit. Can't seem to understand why I am having rear brake lock up. I have used it on the track three times and twice had full lock up and even a fire the second time. Just spending a lot of R&D dollars....

Thanks to So. Cal. Rebell, I have tires. Thanks again!
