with a short time 0f 1.52!

Congrats Todd! Wish I were there with you guys, maybe next time. BTW, it was after 1:00 AM when you called my house this morning. That's OK though, Ward was ringing my doorbell last night around 11:00 PM. I owe you both...

Additionally, I believe this is the fastest ET for BFG's to date? If it is, way to go Todd!

Anyone know the fastest ET for Michelin Pilot Sports? Ward ran a 10.82 in Norwalk, OH, last month.

It is late so I will post the time slip numbers.

LVMS 2100FT elevation
Temp 74
Relative humidity 70
Absolute barometer 29.32

60' 1.525
330' 4.354
1/8 6.720
MPH 106.66
1000 8.767
1/4 10.474
MPH 132.57

That track hooked hard! Another run I got a 1.547 60' time. I was able to launch at 3500rpm with no wheel spin.

It is late.

Larry, I thought I saw a 10.5 on Pilots here, not too long ago. Could be wrong.

That 10.4 is a great time, especially at altitude. Great job Utah.

Chad it was a 10.809 with a 1.67 60 ft on Pilots..... sorry my fault....ran a 10.5 on ET's and skinny's with an experimental intercooler piece of junk...slowed down the car.

Back to UtahViper thread......We need to get you to lower elevations to see how much lower ET's you can achieve.

on I-75 30 miles north of Tampa going to see Gators play

Sweet - that is an amazing time on radials! A run in cooler weather at sea level would probably put you in the upper 130s...

Now you get to update your .sig again :)

10.80 on my video a few years and a couple hundred HP ago, been 10.60's on Pilots back when just had exhaust and 150 shot (Friday Nite Test and Tune at Orlando, 1999). Remember, as power increases it becomes more and more difficult to put it to the ground for a gain in performance.......especially without chassis modifications. Good time Ward!

Also,

I thought there was a Texas fello...might have been David [******]...claiming 10.40's on Pilots driving someones Viper.????

Tom,

I'm not up to speed on what records are currently valid because I spent most of mine time road racing Vs drag racing. Congrats on your past times! If it were back in 99, did you have MXX3 Pilots or Pilot Sports? The MXX3 was a better drag racing tire as I'm sure you're aware. Congrats on your 9 second passes in Columbus, BTW!

Larry,

For the record, I don't keep track of the Pilot times either and have not tried to go fast(Quick) on them as there is no real reason to do so. I have always used Mxx3 on 17" rims. The new BFG 18" tires are the gig, taking the front spot from Khumos and Nitto 555R's.....from what I've seen anyway. Unfortunately, I don't own any of the above.
