Vacuum leak-gas cap?

I was taking the GTS to work today when the engine light came on. My tech checked the code which showed a vacuum leak. He reset and at least so far (10minutes) it has not come back on. I have an after market locking cap from AutoZone which he said could have created the leak.(took off and re-tightened)I have had the cap for nearly a year without problem. Anyone else run into this?

I can tell you that a slightly loose gas cap after filling up can create a check engine light situation on many cars. This happened on my other car and now I really make sure the dern thing is tight every time. If you're positive the cap was on tightly, maybe it's just a funky cap.
