F355:
There are very few cars that don't depreciate drastically in the first year. Most cars (i.e. different brands) can be found on dealers lots, except Fcars.

Do you want to see depreciation, ask me how much I lost on my 2005 996 Turbo S Cab :curse: .

I think this car will make their owners very happy, and I will probably try to purchase one :D .

I also feel that since you mention depreciation in almost every post that you make about the SRT-10, you should wait till you can afford to purchase such toys. I might be in the minority, but I purchase what I want when I want, these are not investments :nono: .

That being said do you want to purchase my F355, '92 Black, 1 owner, 11kmiles, just had 15k service done at Ferr-NY.

Y2K5SRT:

You have stated that the first year was amazing. It was a new product. What do you expect. The Viper was unchanged for 10 years and then they launch something new, of course people are going to jump on it. Just sad to say that did not happen with your precious coupe but that is another story.

Oh and by the way, if your car is so hot, then please explain the depreciation hit your car takes in the first year. As stated previously, up to 20%!!! EXPLAIN THIS Y2K!!! How come they are sitting on dealer lots?? I guess this is just because they are soooo highly desirable right? Now who is embarassed? The only embarassment I would have is you being my VCA President! :buttkick:

As the old adage goes, "Never wrestle with a pig, you'll both get dirty and the pig loves it..."

Nonetheless, I'll close with a few more facts for you:

1. You have never bought a Viper in your life (sorry, parents buying it for you doesn't count) and simply can't comprehend protecting that investment.

2. You constantly harp on the SRT "sitting on dealer lots". Wait a minute - production of the 2001 RT/10 ended in August of 2001. Yet you claim your parents bought it NEW from a dealer - in March of 2003. The hypocrisy is absolutely stunning and even a bit nauseating when you think about it.

3. You really can't grasp just how much you are insulting and hurting your fellow Viper owners when you post this crap. It is the constant stream of negativity from an isolated few that affects the SRT more than anything else. But that is obviously your goal.

4. You don't understand the history of the Viper or of the people that actually bought them. And you certainly don't respect them. After all, anybody that has a picture of themselves as the centerpiece of their Viper avatar just may be a tad self-centered. Ya think?

Tell you what, when you put in 1/1000th of the effort that we do to make the Viper and the Viper community great, then maybe you will be taken seriously. It takes an extraordinary amount of time, effort, and selflessness. What do you think I get out of "promoting" this VCA drawing? Answer: Not a damn thing. But I didn't want those folks that are interested in a red/white Coupe to miss this opportunity for lack of information. That is called "h-e-l-p-i-n-g". You should try it sometime.

Jay, thanks for posting the revised deadline. I will "unstick" this thread and people can start focusing on the POSITIVE aspects of this drawing.
