Venom 600

Browsing through some local papers I came across a venom 600 at a local chevy dealer of all places. Its not really what Im looking for, but neither was my last RT/10 and I ended up loving that car. Car looks to be in good shape from the pics. Its a 98, red/silver stripes with 20k on the clock. The dealership is asking 45 thousand. Ive read a few threads on the venoms and see their is some hostility to that particular tuner, but the owners generally seem to be quite happy with their cars. Is their anything in particular to look for? Is the price of 45k about right?

Let's see...1998....red/silver....Venom package.... I'd say its worth between $1 million and $2 million

I think there's a Hen thread somewhere on the first page of this board but your conclusion seems to sum it up. Owners seem to be pretty happy with them. The angst seems to have faded recently....not sure whether its because the relationships are better or whether people just don't spend time posting on it anymore.

I've called John H a few times with questions about my car and he's always been pretty helpful. If the car runs well then any iissues are in the past!

I noticed the two other concurrent threads but didnt want to hijack them with my situation.

Do you think the price is right? It almost seems like the hen package isnt adding much to resale at all.

I think you're right. Like many perf mods, you get 20 cents on the dopllar back in resale, ifthat. The body stuff (for a buyer who wants it) is worth a few sheckles....but as a buyer, this no-premium thing is good for you!

The price seems about right.
