Venom Turbo Pocono\'s Performance

We ran the long course at Pocono's on Friday 4-30-04 with the Ferrari's. Everyone seemed concerned how a high HP car with turbos would perform on a road course. Let me tell you it performed flawlessly! On the straights I was going 150 mph, would have been faster but cars in front of me slowed me down. In the infield, the car stuck like glue on a rail with Hoosiers & Penske's on all 4 corners! The car never overheated. My in car 4way camera system worked great too. Great video! The only problem I forgot to tape up the front & it really got chipped up. I'll have to repaint over next winter.
Thumbs up to my tuner for creating an " All Around " car that's great at the drags, road racing & most important... the street!

Definitely wish I would have gone to watch now or run. Kind of funny the wife really wanted to go, but instead I opted to work around the house on my day off, damn what a mistake!!

Any chance I could borrow or get a copy of the video? I would love to see it on the track>

Okay I finally got a site put up, after several hours, to show some videos of POCONOS. The quality stinks! They look great on the camera & viewing on TV but transferring to the web loses alot. Sorry no sound on the in car camera's, it was too distorted from wind. I'll have to get a better mic I guess! Here's the link. Hope it works for you!

Thanks! I just noticed how the car is squatting coming down that straight. Not sure if it's from the power going down or all that downforce on that wing I have on!

I noticed the squatting too! Probably a combo of both. How much of an angle do you have on there now, and do you know what kind of downforce you are getting?

It's at the highest setting you can set it at. I have no idea how much downforce or even how to measure such. But it must be alot to make it squat like that!

Looks like you need a bigger front splitter or less downforce on your rear wing. I don't think your accelleration down a track at high speed would squat your car like that unless your suspension is real soft. Try raising it a bit, get a camera and find a road to 'test' out the look. Your car is bad ass!
