Video - SRT Viper Hood

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I came across this video by SRT. In the beginning, it looks like a clay model with the vented hood on it. Looks really cool.

Figured I post (or repost) for those looking for the SRT Viper hood and not the GTS hood.

Thanks for posting that up! The crazy thing is the production hood has SIX vents on each side. I cant wait to see it in person.

It seems that the colors are all shown too....look on the video, on the left side, there are different color plates on the wall, as well as pics of the viper in those colors. I just wish they were closer and easier to see!

The GTS hood has the front vents between the "eyes" or the lights and the "nostril" or the middle front portion of the hood and grille. There are a group of snakes called "Pit Vipers". This does not mean they live in pits, and frequently live in trees. The pits on the head of the viper, lie between the nosrtil and the eyes, similar to the front end of the new SRT GTS 2013 viper. These "pits" are heat sensing organs to allow the viper to hunt in the dark when it is cooler and sense their prey. They also use the heat sensing organs to follow their prey until it dies so they can consume it. It is great to see the tradition of the viper design to incorporate the "pits" on the front hood as air vents keeping the image of a pit viper alive in the design.
