took my car to Paddocks Performance (Noble Kens shop)and did 3 base pulls to see what the car did. the results...well they were so so. the cars A/F ratio was at about 13 across the line which is pretty much lean. the boost was at 9.5-10 LBS through out the whole range (Mustang Dyno) and it dynoed at 606rwhp/630rwtq. my numbers are way to low. gotta get this baby tuned..

wanna thank Ken for taking time to do this for me.

if you are in the westchester area and like to get an idea of what your car does on the dyno you should check them out.

A compression test takes, literally, 15-20 min. And that isn't with me being speedy. so i'd highly recommend that you wait less than 2 weeks as there could be engine damage that you are making worse.

could be.

or it could just be a bad tune... When my car is tuned poorly, it makes 750at the tires... when it is tuned well, about 1000. so there is a difference...

Plus, the mustang dyno usually reads less. So expect a significant difference there as well. Ideally, one would only dyno in the same place. that removes the dyno variable(s)...

These more recent numbers are much closer to what you can expect with your mods on a MUSTANG dyno than what you first experienced. Numbers from where you first had the car dynoed were always on the high side for many who had their cars run there.

I don't think the tune is the problem with 13:1 AF. Leaner will usually give more bang, but it will cost you in the end. Check that compression and if you really want to see where you are at HP wise, get it on the original dyno you had been on.

I would suggest to put the hp numbers aside and use the dyno as your tuning tool. Once you get the tune in proper order the horsepower numbers will follow.

Your air / fuel numbers to start would be my concern with other inadequate problems indicative to improper tuning.

Best of luck!

Dimitrios,
I'm guessing you didn't get that oil consumption problem figured out/fixed that you mentioned a while back? That might have something to do with your blue smoke.
Time to do some tests as suggested!

Obvoiusly Doug is right about the tuning needed. I wouldn't have contunued the pull with that AF. D, it's time for you to get serious and have your issues attended to while you still have a little bit of you motor left.

I think with all these problems you've had, you should sue Sean. People love to sue others in this world. And you've clearly had problems beyond believe. Heck, we all know the VEC2 is the culprit. So go for it.

Hi Joe, Hi Marc - Happy Passover my friends!

Dimitrios,
I would venture to say you have a serious blow-by issue. There are some very good technicians in your area that can diagnose the problem - time for a leakdown test. You may have a pinched ring, a ring gap issue, or the rings may not have seated with poor radial tension from heat / det. You'll burn pistons, valves and encounter other catastrophic engine damage. (be as it may, "IF" this is the case).

And, it only gets worse! EXCESSIVE oil in the combustion chamber will cause uncontrollable detonation; oil knocks the octane out of your fuel!

I hope for your case I'm wrong and I wish you the best of luck!

Regards,
Doug
