VIN and original color

Is there a code or any way to tell what the original color was? I looked on this link but didn't see anything that would indicate color.

Appendex II Page 151 of Maurice's Viper Buyers Guide states " ...Because of this limited number of options, the Viper does not come with a body-code plate."

It doesn't look like the VIN # captures the color either:

Position 1 = Country of Origin
Position 2 = Make
Position 3 = Vehicle Type
Position 4 = Passenger Safety
Position 5 = Car Line
Position 6 = Series
Position 7 = Body Style
Position 8 = Engine
Position 9 = Check Digit
Position 10 = Model Year
Position 11 = Assembly Plant
Position 12-17 = Sequence Number

If the car has it's original VIN/GVWR/MDH sticker on the drivers door, that will give the original paint code. Or, you could just call Chuck Tator.

i dont think the vin can tell you color on a dodge vehicle

I thought though on Vipers they would run a batch of the same colors so that a VIN range would give you a pretty good idea of the color. I'm pretty sure this was true for the first Gen 3s.

The label is on the driver door for the Viper. My label shows the Blue ( PBE) body color code but not the white (PW1) stripe color code.
