Now that I'm getting a Vipair things have changed. Now I believe in the 20rwhp. I'm all excited about it. So dont be doing no dyno testing cause I don't want to hear it.

La,la,la... <fingers in ears> I can't hear your results Russ, la,la,la.

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Ok boys and girls, back from my LAST Vipair dyno session EVER. So please read everything carefully and let it sink in slowly.

Corvette club test day, lots of spectators and witnesses to ask questions of if you don't believe me.

Testing was done with the hood -"CLOSED"- and only 1 large propeller type fan -"LOW SPEED"- aiming at the car from about 5-6 feet away. Or in other words REAL WORLD according to some  . Car was up to operation temp and all pulls were made from same rpm and engine temp as all the previous dyno passes made.

Once again please keep the flames to a min, I am just doing this for this board and have absolutely nothing to gain from the results.

First pull 431.9 hp, second pull 437hp, third pull 440hp. This is without the aid of a fan blowing into the naca duct at all. And btw this is without the Vipair, there was no point to bolt it in since the controversy was having a high speed fan blowing into the naca duct.

These results are consistent enough with my numerous previous pulls to show that having fans blow into the naca duct has no effect on power. Actually the only reason I did these pulls again is to prove that fact.

Vipah,

What is there to rebut? Russ dynoed his car without a vipair™ and got 10 hp more than the last time he dynoed with or without a vipair™. He even got more power this time than when he had his hood open before. So this proves or disproves nothing. Your rebuttal Vipah, let's here it!

Here you go regarding diagnostics to allow reading of the various engine info through the OBD port. Works on all Gen II and later Vipers. This way you can record the inlet air temp, coolant temp, engine speed, vehicle speed, etc and plot the differences with and without Vipair. Not intended as an endorsement of this versus the many other readers out there.

Eddy,

You seem to be in denial. Facts are facts, and all tests show NO IMPROVEMENT with the Vipair.

You should just sell it as an engine compartment decoration.

Vipah,

What is there to rebut? Russ dynoed his car without a vipair%u2122 and got 10 hp more than the last time he dynoed with or without a vipair%u2122. He even got more power this time than when he had his hood open before. So this proves or disproves nothing. Your rebuttal Vipah, let's here it!

Edmonton,

I knew you were going to have an issue with me not dynoing the Vipair again, but to be honest with you the results would not have been favorable for you.

The reason you wanted me to re dyno was to make sure there was no high speed fan blowing into the NACA duct, because you felt it causes the car to make more power than it should. I proved your theory wrong, so please just accept facts not hopeful wishing.

My car always makes between 430-440 at the wheels, I have dozens of dyno pulls to prove that. Putting in the Vipair would prove nothing. And my car did not pick up 10 hp from the last testing it was 3.5-7 or less than 1.5% which is inline with all my other dyno testing.

Wow, did Eddy finally figure it out? He hasn't come back with any more poor arguments.

Maybe this thread has heard the last of him and Shelly.

Too bad, without their comic relief it may be hard to hit 800 posts.

Vipah,

The real comic relief is the fact that you think that you make valid arguments and that people might take you seriously. The sad thing is that Russ didn't take the 2 minutes to bolt on the VIPAIR™ for a final run to see if there was a difference.

RUSSM, I expected more from you, but I guess you get what you get, how about you ship my Gtech pro back to me as we never did see any testing done with that either.

Eddy, Eddy Eddy,

I am not making arguments, I am pointing to test results and facts.

I know it must be hard for you to be wrong, but you may want to be a man about it and admit it. Or at least go quietly.

Vipah, Why don't you be a man and act like one for a change, What fact are you pointing to now? That Russ Dynoed his car without a VIPAIR™ installed? Nice FACT!

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Eddy,

That's what I like about you, so predictable.

The facts remain that he tested with it in the past and saw NO GAINS, but you said it was due to the fact that he had air blowing directly into the NACA duct and that made the NACA work better. Well, when he removed that and tested as you wanted there was NO CHANGE.

Then there is the test that show NO DIFFERENCE in temperature at the intake without a Vipair, something the Vipair claims to improve.

Like I said long ago, you will just keep trying to twist the story and claims no matter what the testing shows.

Come on let's hear the next excuse....

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Edmonton,

Its sad that you just cant face facts, funny how the dyno testing you did which were completely wrong are considered by your self to be valid. But my test results all showing absolutely no gain from you product are all irrelevant.

You can have your gtech back, as I said the numbers it is giving back are not consistent enough to be considered valid. And besides I have a feeling the only way you will consider them to be acceptable is if they show positive results for you product.

The reason I didn't bolt the Vipair on is because it would have cost be another $50.00 is dyno time, which would have been like throwing it away. Lets see so far my Vipair dyno time has cost me the same as if I were to buy one not to mention my time.

I hope the other products you guys are going to be releasing get a lot more testing on them before they go onto the market.

I have read re-read and re-re-read, but I guess I am still missing something. I understand the whole fan issue, but this is a different day and conditions. I thought the whole point was to test the Vipair.

The Vipair was not tested???

Could someone please post the vettes dyno #'s then, cuz it seems we are just comparing numbers and not the product. What was the point?

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

I swear some people just skim posts and dont even bother reading them.

The whole point of the retest was because Edmonton felt the 90mph fan blowing into the naca duct was giving false readings.

I retested without the fan, and the numbers did not change, plain and simple.

SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, NO THE POINT WAS NOT TO RETEST THE VIPAIR IT WAS TO RETEST WITHOUT THE VIPAIR.

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Russ the whole point of the retest was to retest the product in the same fashion as before only without the 90 mph fan directed into the NACA duct. As for the cost, I offered to pay for the dyno service, correct?

Questions:

If this is a valid dyno run with 3 pulls how is the dyno run by GTSnake invalid with 4 runs??

If this is a valid dyno run with 3 pulls then how are my dyno runs invalid, with 4 pulls??
