Vipair Performance - Steve Prescott , ANOTHER ISSUE !!!

October 11, 2012 - I Ordered Gen 2 Twin Turbo Kit from VipAir. Invoice states - will be shipped in approx. 30 days. After I wired funds to Steve there was a huge delay shipping the Turbo Kit. . Nothing was shipped in 30 days. Giving big effort to reach out to Steve, his excuse - he was always traveling and signing big business contracts. Finally, in January, 2013 I receive 3 boxes of "Scrap Metal" nothing was shipped what I ordered. All 3 boxes were shipped back to Mr. Steve Prescott. He promised to issue a refund ( $10,728.00 ) As of today, I have not received any money from him. I had no choice, at this time it's in the hands of an Attorney. STEVE WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING, DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU WILL GET AWAY WITH THIS ???

So what exactly were the 3 boxes of scrap metal? Did you get a Twin Turbo kit but parts were damaged? or parts missing? Was this down to poor packaging or were faulty parts put in the boxes before being shipped to you? Trying to work out weather the damage was caused by the 3 rd party? Any Pics?

Whether you have 2 posts that have value or 20000 that do not, Im glad you posted this for owners to see. I hate getting scammed and like to see the good and the bad stuff out there. Sounds like a nightmare on this one.

Unfortunately there is very little recourse for people like this when they do all their business on-line. People say oh, report it to the FTC like that would do any good.

I've never purchased from him; but, it's good to have this forum so we all know who to stay away from.

I am not broke,

I shipped this turbo system to Boca, Allan LEmbit for him to further send to Estonia to his customer

I shipped it in early and mid January, which if any of do not know or understand that ythat is exemplary turn around for a viper Turbo system, Allan was aware of teh shipment taking longer than anticipated , and still accepted the delivery, he wanted a kit with a number of items deleted that he would get separately

MOST OTHER COMPANIES IN THE MARET TAKE OVER A YEAR TO SHIP VIPER TURBO SYSTEMS!!

ALLAN BOUGHT THIS ONE FROM ME AFTER HE HAD NOT RECEIVED A KIT HE BOUGHT FROM A TUNER IN TEXAS THAT HE HAD ORDERED IN NOV 2011 AND HAD STILL NOT RECEIVED A YEAR LATER WHEN HE APPROACHED ME!

HEre is the picture of the system shipped that is termed above as BOXES FULL OF JUNK TUBING, the turbos alone retail for $2500 EACH!

Box 1 contents that they say is ALL JUNK TUBING

2 - comp turbo oil-less water cooled, CT3 67/79 billet wheel t4 housing turbos
2 - TiAL Q 50mm blow off valves
4 - new sections of 3/4 inch coolant hose for water cooling for turbos
2 - new vacuum hose for connecting blow offs and wastegates

Content of Box 2 that they thin is all junk tubing, some pieces are now missing as he didn't tape the boxes up properly so box 2 was busted open during shipping

Numerous Mandrel bend aluminum pipes
Silicone couplers for cold side to throttle bodies
2 - air filter
(missing from this box numerous T bolt and V band connectors/clamps)



Box 3 that they say is all JUNK

CUSTOM Air to air front mount inter-cooler for GEN 2
Numerous Mandrel bend aluminum tubes for them to connect 2" OD out of turbo to the in on the Air to air Inter-cooler

Numerous T-Bolt clamps
Numerous silicone connectors

some clamps and connectors are also missing form this box as well as it was not properly re-taped when shipped back.

The money went in to the product that he ordered and was shipped and received!

Then he decided he did not want it because it LOOKED DIFFERENT FROM MY GEN 3 TURBO SYSTEMS, but

HE ORDERED A GEN 2 SYSTEM so it ...


LOOKS DIFFERENT THAN A GEN 3 SYSTEM and always will as GEn 2 headers and instakes and frame spacing is different that a GEN 3!

Look at the pictures of the Turbo system he received, and then tell me he was ripped off, the turbos I use cost $1250 more that the ones used in the $17,000 the other turbo system on the market including the one he ordered form a texas tuner in Nov 2011 and never received.

He received mine in less than 90 days and most of teh turbo self install kits for vipers being sold by others take 9-12 months to deliver, if ever.

Well I didn't order a turbo kit. All though I wish i had $ for that. But I did just recently order his coilovers for my gen 2. Nice guy to deal with, and it didn't take to long to receive them. The true sign will be when I install them tomorrow.

I have posted just above the pictures of the items returned because they were SCRAP METAL

the poster of this thread cannot post pictures of anything looking any different except that a number of the items were in better shape when shipped to him that they are now as they were just thrown into the boxes when returned, he did not call or email to get an RMA , the boxes just showed up at the door a number of weeks later.

The system is a complete installable Gen 2 Viper Turbo system with as you can see top of the line Billet wheel inducer, inconel wheel exducer Oil less bearing upgraded water cooled turbos, 67/79's each worth $2500. TiAL Q 50mm Blow off valves, custom air to air Intercooler with all connectors.

I still need to post the pictures of the complete 3" custom complete turbo to rear end cat back that I threw in for FREE that he also returned.

I charged him almost HALF what he paid a year prior to another Viper Turbo maker that NEVER SHIPPED THE SYSTEM TO HIM!

I SHIPPED! and its not Junk, or scrap metal!

Yep, does not exactly look like boxes of scrap metal to me

I don't like it when people slander someone without explaining exactly what they were expecting!

Trouble is when stuff like this gets posted, many times there has been a massive breakdown in communications

I would not call those boxes pieces of scrap metal! But if they had been delivered by courier and the courier company had damaged the parts that would be a different story.

I purchased parts from Steve such as caps and srt10 brake set up for gen2. Took a while for brakes to come in but partly because of hurricane sandy but it all got worked out. At some point I got nervous, because of upfront payment and at times lack of communication and no product as promised.
I Am Being Honest .But like I said it all worked out. Seems like he jugles a ton of projects at once which probably in some ways affects delivery times and proper communication....
SECOND TRANSACTION FOR CAPS WAS QUICK. As far as any questions concerned Steve is great to talk to and be does takes his time to go over stuff.

Steve may be slow with shipping sometimes but his products are good quality from what I've seen. I purchased coil overs which I love by the way and also purchased acr wing and splitter also great products.

What are we looking at here? Is that the waste gate from the Turbo charger in the first pic? That looks like its been on the shelve for years!

2nd pic, is that one of the Hose inlets to the Radiator? Looks like its been used to me?
