Viper belly pan material question

Does anyone know if the belly pan is made from aluminum mild steel or stainless?

Based on weight and the fact that it's bare, I would have to assume it's aluminum.

Just had mine down. It is aluminum.

It seems like it's aluminum.

But judging by the replacement cost of it, it is not just regular aluminum.



It is Viper aluminum.

perfect. i have to weld up that hole since i dont have a crossover anymore. now i can grab my propane and rod

I was wondering if anyone did that.

I no longer have a crossover on mine. I was going to get a flat piece and use the original fasteners from the crossover heat shield.

I don't have the crossover more any either, but I'm leaving the belly pan stock. Looks like it may help draw air towards the diff. and help cool it a little.

I also thought about riveting some thin plate aluminum to cover the hole, decided to leave it alone.
