Viper Color Contest

What does everyone think about the 3 color names up for vote in the Viper Color Contest? Flat out, I think they all ****.

Is that seriously as creative as those guys over at SRT can get? I tended to believe the reason they got the viper community involved with naming was because they actually wanted feedback from enthusiasts...now I'm starting to think because they can't pull something together themselves. I know everyone always thinks their own suggestions are best, but seriously a handful of ones I thought of were better than these.

The 3 to vote on are

1. Competition Blue
2. Overtaking Blue
3. Viral Blue

Seriously? Competition Blue & Overtaking Blue? How far from creative is that? Hell forget about creative, and at least make it something inherently related to traits one might associate with the Dodge Viper brand. Look at their current color offerings...all either straight named or somehow related to a feeling with the Viper brand. Black Venom, Stryker Red, Race Yellow. While arguably not super creative, at least there is a purpose/reason behind the names. These new ones? Come on they're just plain boring. Don't get me started on Viral Blue either! What does viral have to do with anything? That said, I think I'd choose Viral over all the others... I can't get myself to pick because I want to select a 4th option (none of the above).

I put down Coral Blue( there is a snake called coral blue snake, and it's color is very similar to that blue, and it has a red head).the ones they have have been used in different cars before!!

I thought I had a pretty good one. Visceral Blue. I think the thing I've loved about vipers for so long is that there is just something so raw about them. They are unapologetically rough, loud and unrefined. They touch something "visceral" inside of all guys. The definitions of visceral are "dealing with crude or elemental emotions", they are "characterized by or proceeding from instinct rather than intellect". They're a part of that naturally insationable element of men. It's hard to describe. It is what makes them "fun" to drive. They're a beast to be conquered, not a refined piece of work that drives itself. It's a real drivers car. Something about visceral to me speaks about blood because of the level it is engrained at. Visceral is the blue blood in our veins. If they wanted a 3 word color I would have said "Visceral Vein Blue".

There were two cars in the past that had identical colour with this blue Viper. A BMW and a Mustang = Adriatic Blue. Guess that's not ferocious for a Viper I even like Azure Blue better than the three names above. It was good enough for Lamborghini.
Maybe srT should call their blue Viper Aventador Blue ,haha.

I spoke to the folks at SRT at Petit Le Mans recently. I can tell you they automatially dismissed any relationship to blew by or blue by as an option. That one spit the
bit right out of the gate brother. I went for Ballistic Blue and Speed Blue.....I thought that was simple and to the point. I do agree these options mostly ****. I'd
rather take the blue balls option noted earlier....HA!
