I am sure they will be sued, but would you sue a homeowner if you crashed into their house because it was too close to the road????

Stay on the road - single car accidents are quite easy to pinpoint fault.

Overall - very sad.

If the trailer had a permit to be parked where it was parked, and followed all the limitations of that permit, then the owner/operator of that trailer will probably not be found liable. However, if he just left his trailer there, he will probably be found liable for a certain percentage of the accident.

Sad event nevertheless, may God rest his soul.
